Check out our newest episode of Dev Diaries, as we delve into the importance of sourcing photos and taking in-person lidar scans in order to achieve MAXIMUM realism in our aircraft!
Have a great weekend everyone
I certainly hope we get a B-24 from you all!
I havenât seen anything new from your Shrike brand since the F-86 and PA-30.
Did you give that up?
Theyâll get to your answer after they left me know whatâs up with the SR-71. LOL.
You really have to wonder if another developer will be the one to come out with this. It wonât be the first time something like this has happened.
I hope to see the Blackbirdâs Blackbird soon, I trust this guys to do a really good job on the plane that has the name of their companyâŠ
Yes they are incredibly slow and the Texan was a flop but hopefully this one will be good.
Watch their State of the Sim videoâs. The last one talked about I think 2 or 3 Shrike products in the pipe.
What I donât understand about this community is the way devs who pump out lots of content are mocked because of less than elite quality, yet the devs who produce elite quality are mocked because they donât pump out lots of content.
Why do you say the Texan was a flop? I donât have it but itâs a military grade simulation.
The Texan is one of my favorite aircraft, and I have all of the top planes. It is a very well crafted bird with proper heft and feel, FM is great. Started out with a bunch of glaring but simple bugs and got a bad rap. It is absolutely worth its price IMHO.
I agree. the Texan is one of my favourites also. Great plane to fly.
How do we know what version itâs on? I never get update emails from BB. Them and AT Simulations just never let you know lol
The thing is that at least one devâs development process is just so incredibly slow that other devs eventually jump in and come out with their own version whilst the original devâs version is still in the development process. More often than not the first dev then gives up and decides to drop development of the addon entirely.
Thatâs the point.
Iâm on V1.06. Itâs available from their support forum.
The Huey is an example, Taogâs came out late June I think.
OK thanks. So I got that now, the installer file says 1.0.6 at least. Manifest still says âpackage_versionâ: â1.0.5â though
And Addons Linker says this for some reason (0.5.6)!:
And the folder name is milviz-t6a
Maybe the plane wasnât told it is made by Blackbird Simulations now?
That one is a cracking version too
It will be interesting to see how well another version sells. It is going to have to be significantly better imo and even then I am not sure how many people will buy it.
