Blackbird Simulations News/ Updates

Not sure.

Looking at a post from BB on Sep 8 they were ‘full steam ahead finalizing’ it.

Given this was around two and a half months ago and they were finalising it then I can only assume it should be coming out pretty soon.

When I bought KBAB and saw how good the KC-135R’s looked, it gave me hope that Blackbird was serious when they asked about interest in a tanker a few months ago. All the static models look really good though.

Looking forward to the Blackbird Texan also. In the meantime, I recently bought a newly-released Texan from another developer. I want to emphasize this… That model has a glass cockpit C variant, which is great for belting round the Mach Loop in the RAF T.1. BUT, Blackbird will release the earlier steam-cockpit model, which is wonderful for Canadians wanting the CT-156 Harvard 2.

As a Brit living in Canada, both aircraft are essential to my FS experience! I am delighted that two T-6 models are here or coming.

And so a request to any scenery developers reading this. Can someone please create a good scenery for the home of RCAF pilot training, CFB Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. (CYMJ). That’s where the Harvard 2 is based, and also the Snowbirds display team.

As a Canadian living in Canada I agree with you 100% but also would add in Portage la Prairie, home of initial flight training in Canada. Also, a CT-144 would be amazing!!! :canada: :canada: :canada:

Greetings from Saskatchewan!

I forgot about Portage! Yes, would love to see that done too.

And just think…

  1. If we could convince IRIS to modify their Grob Tutor into the new Grob G-120 for that base.
  2. If we could twist the arms of Just Flight to redo the Hawk T.1 into the T.2 / CT-155
  3. Then get the CT-144 for the Snowbirds…

AH, it would be worth me renewing my Canadian passport again! - LOL

I’m liking the cut of your jib!!!

Greetings from Vancouver Island, AND starting flight training in the new year.

Our T6A is still in development. We’re ironing out some bugs and pushing to make it the best it can be. The wait will be worth it, thank you guys for your patience !

@captnblckbird - I noticed that someone posted a partial MSFS portover of your F86 for FSX. Is your team still working on an MSFS-native version? I believe I recall a work in progress picture or two shonw in one your your “state of the simulator” streams a while back.

Yup, we are

Can’t wait for the Otter!

Will it be available in the marketplace?

What about any chances we will see these liveries any time in the near future…:upside_down_face: Are these ones locked and loaded…

They made a 737-200 for FSX/P3D and an MSFS version is in development.

Like mentioned, milviz is going to be bringing their 732… When it happens… Going off their last update earlier this year… Other projects now have higher priority…
But flip… I am absolutely hanging out for the732, it’s going to complement the 146 so well and I just can’t wait to fly her around nz…

As you probably know… The 737 has such an important presence in kiwi aviation folklore… (still going with parcel air and texel) Almost destroyed the commonwealth friendship over night:joy::joy::joy: imagine Air NZ with bac 1-11s…

I hope milviz aka blackbird showcases that importance NZ had on the 737 and being a very very early customer and vis versa, how important the 732 was in bringing aviation to a whole new level in nz

Sorry, I didn’t realise that Blackbird Simulations and Milviz were the same. A bit confusing really.

Agreed. Wait till you realize that Shrike is the other brand.

The only name/products to remember is Blackbird Simulations though - IMO.
