Blackbird T6A released

Once the speed brake is extended it does not retract when the same button is pressed (mapped to toggle spoiler). It retracts back when full power is applied. Is this normal?
If I clear the binding and set it in the plane tablet it does not work at all

we do not do support here at any time.

This aircraft is completely and utterly broke on MSFS24. I can click on the canopy opening switch, the stick works, the throttle doesn’t, the rudder works but the brakes don’t. No switches can be clicked, so the aircraft cannot start. Even spawning in on the runway does nothing. It’s a complete mess.

Do I blame Blackbird? Absolutely not. I blame Asobo for basically being duplicitous, regarding the ‘oh porting stuff over from 2020 will be seamless’ etc and basically hanging not only their customers out to dry, but a lot of the third party devs.

So much so that, almost three months on from the sim’s launch, many aircraft in particular appear to be light years away from compatibility. It’s an utter disgrace.

A few free low fidelity planes that will all likely fly exactly the same will not appease me, tbh. Fix this mess. Help your third party developers, instead of creating this debacle and then trying to distance yourselves from it.

By the way, the T6A was removed from sale by Blackbird entirely.

Yeah they’ve said that until they can get it stable, they’re not selling it. Which is a good move, imo. I’ve been in communication with them about the issues and they’ve been helpful. Hopefully they’ll turn it around but the pessimist in me thinks it’ll be a while.

If they removed it from 2020 as well this must surely mean they deem it broken for 2020 as well, right? Otherwise why wouldn’t they be selling it?
I which case we (I) should be legible for a refund of this broken products
Edit. It’s still on their front page as available lol

Their last update is from 13/01/25
if you bought directly from them.
I flew it recently in msfs24 without apparent problem for a simple flight.

If you look at their website, under ‘products’ the T6A is not available. It’s also apparently unstable in MSFS20 as well.

That makes so much sense! I bought the thing and spent exactly 30 minutes with it. Couldn’t even take off, performance was very laggy. Hopefully they’ll be able to fix it, it’s such a cool plane!

My brother runs the T-6A Flight Simulator for the Air Force at Naval Air Station Pensacola.
I do not have this aircraft at the moment but will get when it is back on the Market.
I asked him flight specifics.

Typical climb out is 160 knots.
Typical speed enroute is 200 knots.
Normal cruise is 240 knots.

Formula for speed is 50% Torque, plus altitude is thousands to maintain 200 Knots.
Example:
50% Torque plus 10,000 Feet would be 50% + 10 (!0,000 feet) = 60% Torque.
50% Torque plus 5,000 Feet would be 55% Torque
50% Torque plus 8,000 Feet would be 58% Torque.
50% Torque plus 15,000 Feet would be 65% Torque.
Etc

This aircraft is primarily used to train USAF Navigators in Pensacola.

1.5.0 is now available. Just flying it in 2024 now, seems to work perfectly.

Still not on the market, I don’t get it

Yes, only available to use if you already own it. I bought it last July. I’m not sure why it isn’t available to buy at the moment.

I only have 1.4.3 available on my profile. Where do I find 1.5?

Wherever you found 1.4.3 - on the forum.

From Blackbird’s discord:

The T-6 is currently offline due to the fluctuating development environment that is MSFS causing bugs that previously weren’t issues and it stays that way until we can get things stabilised

Thank you.
I suppose using their own website would be illogical

Their own forum is on their own website.

You can also download it from Discord.

I installed 1.5
Manifest: “package_version”: “1.4.4”
can anything here be done right from start to finish?

But not from where I access my purchases. Which is the most logical place
