When using the mouse in the cockpit the cursor continually blinks with the slightest movement. Makes the mouse nearly unusable. Anyone else experiencing this and anyone have a solution?
Is it changing from a cursor to a white dot? If so, check out this thread. I use VR and mine was really frustrating to use. I added 5% deadzone to my rudder pedals and about 2% deadzone to my other flight controls and it fixed the problem.
It changes from an arrow to a hand and back. At the same time the assistance menu at the top of the screen flashes. I don’t get a white dot. When I hover over a control for a very small instant the arrow or hand just disappears. Seems I’m having the same problem as many others. Thanks for the reply.
That happens to me if the mouse pointer is right on the edge of a control’s activation zone somewhere within the cockpit - and yes, it’s annoying enough to drive a saint to murder!
I solve that particular problem with a two-pronged attack:
- I move the mouse as far away from anything active as possible. If possible, completely off the screen.
- I assign things I need from within the cockpit to axes or buttons on my Saitek X-52 HOTAS joystick so that I use the mouse as infrequently as possible.
The only things I use the mouse for are major mode changes, (world view, marketplace, main menu, etc.), or for detaching pop-out instruments so I can move them to another virtual screen.
Note that I seldom mess with the radios and stuff because I usually don’t fly multi-player and I don’t care about ATC in my fantasy world while flying.
I hope that helps!
