You’re kidding, right? Have you ever worked with vendors before? And had them deliver on time??? Especially in software. Being able to maintain a delivery date means the code is done, so no estimation is required, as well as all the other pieces required for delivery… It’s pretty rare that everyone has estimated their completion dates perfectly, extremely rare, like… never. Because you never have any idea what edge cases are going to show up, nor has anyone in history properly realized the specifications of code perfectly to be able to design it by the equivalent of buying the right so bolt and nut and screwing them together, ok, done. Nothing as complex as this is every designed 100% correctly the first time. Not ever.
You should check your information sources. The publisher is Xbox Game Studios.
Who owns Xbox Game Studios?
Not Asobo, they’re a contractor to Xbox Game Studios…
I’m actually a FS developer and provide strict deadlines to all my projects… And never announce them knowing that the product is unfinished… yes, they’ve been unprofessional not only with the 707 but with many other announcements. I’d get fired from my projects if I don’t meet the deadlines and specially if they are announced… Their roadmap is a joke…
Other serious developers never provide launch dates knowing that they will launch when ready. as in my company… They have a series of failures in meeting the announced roadmap. so yes… lack of professionalism wether you like it or not.
Well, I know how to drive a car, and do so quite often, but that still doesn’t make me an expert in how to run an F1 team.
I do know how to stay in my lane though!
Let’s get back on topic fellas.
As for me, I can’t buy it until I can hear the sound. I’m so anxious about that point. I sincerly hope they did a good recording on this.
I am keeping all my expectations low. If it comes or not, we should all temper our expectations a bit. It’s much better to be surprised in a positive way than in a negative one. My hope is that there will be no major bugs and that it will be a functional product on day one. Not holding my breath though.
Well, it’s 5:30pm CST so I think it’s safe to say it’s not coming today like they said. Another disappointment.
it’s suppossed to be tomorrow the 17th.
They said the 17th. It’s the 3:45 PM PDT on the 16th in Microsoftland.
I stand corrected. Thought it was the 16th for some reason.
Disappointing, but only 1 more week.
I’m whilling to wait one more week at least the sound is just perfect ! Don’t bring us a B707 with a poor sound please. It’s so important to get it right over any other aspect of the plane. Think about those guys who flew the real plane or those like me watching them along the runway. It’s an important souvenir of this iconic and fantastic plane. Take any longer you want to release it, but PLEASE make to sound perfect.
I keep hoping there’s going to be a bridge when we finally get to that river, but will it be a big and beautiful bridge?
Maybe the real question is -
Are you a Moriarty? or an Oddball
What a surprise, another delay. Not just this plane but many things related to msfs have been delayed. Be it sim updates, planes, live streams. I wish at work I could just say Nah not ready I’ll push it back, when a deadline was given. Must be nice.
Might be due to that little matter of the entirely new sim they’re trying to release in November..maybe causing some delays here..possibly
..so Moriarty then ?
The B 707 is beautiful example of early jetliner. That is reason enough to put in my hanger.Timeing is not
inportant.Learn to start it take it for a spin. There are so many great Aircraft for the sim. So little time.
