Are you saying that a C-47 is in development? By which developer?
Looks like I missed it entirely…
About to be released today on the Marketplace! Tied in to D-Day!
Its out here in UK , but it only comes with US liveries ! Very disrespectful, especially on D-Day
Brutal and blunt and sadly I have to agree with you 100 per cent
The 707 to me is pretty iconic and deserves a high fidelity version. I know it’s not out yet and I should in fairness reserve judgement but based on past track records I think most of us know what sort of version we will actually get here.
Well said
To be fair what else can you go on but past track record. It’s a big factor in buying decisions so I think it’s perfectly fair to comment that you have a low expectation based on past performance.
in the end the only real question is - do you want to spend 10 bucks to have a look at a 707 in MSFS and maybe see if it’s worth keeping - or just keep that money in your pocket.
I’ve spent as much as $35 to be utterly disappointed.
I’ve downloaded one or two for free and been pleasantly surprised.
AH is the rented mule of the month every month on this forum even after the effort they made on the Razorback.
I don’t typically fly tubes, but the 707 is arguably the most iconic airliner Boeing ever made - back when Boeing was a good name.
In a perfect world every customer would be satisfied with every purchase. I’ll probably spend the tenner just to have it in the hangar to fly as a change of pace from my usual bush hops.
100% agree with this statement
DC3, plagued with problems with instruments, navigation and autopilot
307 Stratoliner , plagued with problems with fuel system, pressurisation system and autopilot.
707 will be more complex , so I expect it to have even more problems , prior performance does not bode well for a decent product.
I want smoke and noise. I want to see angry homeowners along the airport flight path shaking their fists at the sky. Otherwise this one holds no interest for me.
No one here has said they expect the 707 to be study level. That is not the concern at all, as has been made clear earlier.
Hi,
While the early 707s with the JT3C and JT4 engines with water injection really produced a lot of smoke, the later fan engined versions with the JT3D were a lot less smokey. In terms of smoke, the Convair 990 must have been the worst however.

Ok then I should have said they are mostly simplistic or even primitive.
Doesn’t necessarily make them bad.
Yes, I agree
Wonderful! Maybe now I can reenact Skyjacked.
There’s a very interesting interactive cockpit on the web. If this plane was made study level, it might be one of the most complicated planes in MSFS. Multi-engine airliners without flight computers to take on some of the load are beyond my effort level I hope that most of the “normal operations” systems are implemented, but I would keep my expectations modest.
That is a seriously cool website.
I love the intricacies of the instruments’ inner workings shown in the photos.
Knowing the effort the Boeing craftsmen/women put into to building those aircraft hurts my soul seeing it all deteriorated like that.
More complicated than the JustFlight 146 professional?
I don’t know, I don’t own it. Doesn’t the 146 have a somewhat inaccurate FMS in it that is not accurate to the period?
The cockpit in the link for the 707 scares me, there’s no map or list of flight plan legs for me to look at and follow. I’d get lost in about 2 minutes
It was recently updated with a period-correct bespoke FMS.
I’d expect the way to fly it (at least in the USA, where I am most familiar) would be via VOR-to-VOR. This is how I fly the 307 and the DC-6.
Navigraph Charts would be a helpful sidekick, too.
146 has both modern and period correct FMS , as of a couple of updates ago.
Its pretty fun to fly , busy in the cockpit as there’s little automation
