Initial release version.
Brief description of the issue:
-There is no wind sound, even at 300kts the cockpit it dead silent.
-Internal engine sounds are extremely inaccurate. The idle, spool/whine and buzz-saw sounds are all wrong. They sound like a vacuum cleaner or an electric car, not an aircraft, especially not a 1960’s aircraft with first generation low bypass engines.
-External engines sounds are even worse. All the JT3D sounds characteristics are missing, and there is virtually no jet blast sound. No throaty roar. What there is though, and the effort was put in to adding it in the first place, is a very strange propeller aircraft sound in the 80-87% throttle range (bug?). I suppose this is supposed to be an attempt at adding a buzz-sawesque (new word!) noise but it a very very distracting sound and quite comedic, it genuinely does make me laugh when I hear it.
-Just generally too quiet flightdeck and cabin. At takeoff power and rolling down the runway you can hear a pin drop. The dream of of modern aircraft manufacturers! But certainly not the reality of flying in Boeing’s first airliner.
P.S. I have helped in producing a JT3D soundpack for FSX back in the day. I would be more than happy to assist in improving this rendition if my experience is needed
