Boeing 737 MAX is a mess

Flaps do not move and the indicator moves instantly when changing flaps. Impossible

The plane pulls the nose at 80 kts
Impossible

The plane takes off at 100 kts on its own, when it should be at 140 given its weight
Impossible

Even changing the hardware sensitivity of my THrustmaster TCA fligthstick, the plane moves as it were a paper plane.
Impossible

The Autopilot decided to bank over 90 degrees while climbing and following the flight plan, out of the blue. The plane started becoming uncontrollable even if I disconnected and reconnected the AP.
Impossible

No lights are visible
Impossible

No G/S intercepted on ILS. The plane stopped descending at 3000 ft
Impossible

It has been like this since day 1. Will Asobo eventually fix it?
Am I the only oone experiencing this mess in the flight model?

Well as no one else has reported this behavior in the last 2 months likely yes? Pretty sure you are not the only one flying this plane?

I haven’t flown it much but had none of this issues so far.

For takeoff you need to trim it slightly negative to keep it on the ground (-0.8% or similar).

Flaps are moving as expected.

Thank you. I submitted so many bugs that I got tired of filling it up. I need to know at least if I’m the only one with these problems.
I deleted and installed MSFS twice.

Thinking to go back to 2020. This is a pure mess. I haven’t got a plane with no bugs.
terrible experience

You are not

Well it’s like the real plane, nothing works on it :)))

He’s not the only one. Most of us simply quit flying B737 MAX. I find the aircraft isn’t consistent in its flight characteristic behavior as well. If I want to fly a B737 I simply go back to MSFS 2020 now.

I flew the plane a lot hoping that it was better than the 787. I flies OK but is harder to fly than the 787 especially less of the automation works. FPS about the same, so I am back with the 787.

Yeah I am just not a fan of this plane in its current state, especially after having several dozen hours in a much better rendition of the MAX (the iFly) in FS2020. When that plane becomes available for FS2024, I’m simply going to disable the stock version so it’s not taking up space on the page when I go to select a plane to fly.

I tried. It automagically gets reenabled. I’m fairly certain all the base aircraft are handled similarly.

Well, I guess I’ll just have to train my brain to ignore it.

FWIW, I’m watching XP72 right now flying this one in the Beta from KSLC to KLAX … it’s been an adventure for him already, starting with controls, continuing through an almost-fatal (simulated, lol) takeoff, a sketchy-AF initial climb, but now safely headed toward FL380. I’m gonna watch this stream all the way to the end just for the lolz. Bless the man for giving it a try in public!

I tried doing a flight in it yesterday for the first time since the initial release.

Agreed on the flaps indicator moving instantly. Really threw me when I selected takeoff flaps

Something weird going on with the trim settings. I had my payload and fuel set up and it gave me a CG with a trim setting (3.75 I think it was which seemed a bit low but I went with it anyway). Got to V1 and couldn’t get it off the ground. Hit the trim up switch and after holding it down for a couple of seconds, I managed to climb out

I find 2024 even more twitchy than 2020, though the lack of a reactivity setting doesn’t help with that. Extremity dead zone is your friend. You’ll never pull fully back on the elevator so use that and add a +0.5 extremity dead zone. This will massively help with the sensitivity without giving you a crazy response curve that makes flaring hard for landing

Lights are tied to ground lighting. So they only come on after sunset when ground lights come on. Needs fixed

I never made it as far as trying to land as I got a CTD less than 2 hours in as I’m on the beta and it’s not very stable

I did not know she has this

I have had the same problems and have reported bugs too. It is ridiculously “pitchy” and rolls too aggressively. C of G and trim all over the place and it is unflyable and out of trim when the A/P is disconnected. Numerous issues with the avionics and so many aspects not modelled. FMC is glitchy, the VSP doesnt work, display lights are a mess, ground power does work but doesnt appear to.

All in all it’s a mess and Asobo ahould be ashamed to release in this state. Who on Earth tested this and said it was fit for release.

PS last update they fixed the flap speed placard and added the wipers. However they dont clear water so they’re useless.

Exactly. It’s embarrassing. One needs to flight it once to find so many glitches.

I am starting to believe it wasn’t an issue for MS. They only wanted our money.

Hey guys, if you are sick of the 737, try the 787… it looks better and flys better… and the electronics is a couple generations newer.
