I doesnt done anything on my MSFS 2020 installation.
But i noticed this just now my apu was on and i tried to start my engine suddenly my whole power just cut off and even my APU was “on” i had no electrics i couldnt start the APU either.
Was the APU generator on? How do you know the APU was on?
I do not think I have ever managed to start the APU, and as far as I remember, the electronics page doesn’t work in the flight computer, so I’ve always assumed it is a bug or not yet implemented. While this is not an ideal situation you should be able to use Ctrl+E to start your engines.
I have another issue I am going to try and repo for someone today involving the B78X, I’ll try to start my APU as well. I have bookmarked this thread, but if you don’t have a response from me by this time tomorrow please ping me to remind me.
I’ve used the B78X mod. It’s great but no longer supported. I recommend instead the B78XH mod (on flightsim.to). It adds many more features and is still being worked on.
If you didn’t start the APU then that’s why your power cut off. The batteries can’t power the aircraft forever. I recommend watching a video or two on starting up the 787 on YouTube.
no i wasnt able to start the engine with ctrl+e i needed to restart the flight and start the engine with external power

yeah i tried starting the apu but other than a sound i get no feedback or i doesnt know the feedback if the APU is really on the APU generators were activatet
The APU status is on the STATUS page. Also the APU generator switches would become active when the APU is running. To activate the APU generators, you have to actually push the switches

Upper ECAM. there’s a button conveniently named ‘status’.
Have you watched any tutorials or are you trying to do this blind?
That page is working now? I don’t recall it working when I last used the B78X. Granted it has been a while.
No i didnt watched a tutorial i just followed the checklist and i have no problems with any other aircrafts

This is more complicated. You should watch a tutorial. I can’t hold your hand through the entire startup procedure.
But I highly recommend the B78XH mod. It made the 787 almost as easy to fly as the A320nx

Well, with the standard install, if the APU is running you will see the APU generator switches become available. I think. It’s been a long time since I used the default 787.
Be warned, the default 787 is a handful and not easy
Also, do you have the fuel pumps on? You know the APU uses fuel, right?
at least i know that that is how the 747 work but i only saw the fault panel under the APU just goes off
