For Christmas I got the Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke and Throttle but I’m having trouble mapping the controls for the throttle quadrant on my Xbox for MSFS 24.
I want the throttle levers on the left 2 slots and a flaps lever on the remaining one on the right
But when I put them like that the flaps lever and the right thrust lever is the throttle and the left thrust lever is the speed brakes.
Can anybody give me advice to set this up please? Are there some settings to change or that I’m completely missing.
Have you gone into Settings > Controls and located your axis settings for each of the three axis on your quadrant?
If I recall (I used to be an Xbox pilot and now I am on PC) the throttle quadrant and yoke are treated as one peripheral within MSFS, rather than as separate ones.
You’re going to need to remap which axis goes to what control for the Boeing yoke within those settings.
Let me know what you’ve tried and I can walk you through this. If need be, I can hook up my yoke/throttle to my Xbox to see how it looks on the Xbox version of the sim.
Hello, I just happen to have my Series X on in 2024. Here is some more information to help get you started.
In Settings/Controls, look for GInput Joystick under Devices List. That is the TM Boeing TCA…
Next find Power Management/Throttle to the right of the Devices List…
The first lever is Joystick Axis 14. You want to assign this to THROTTLE 1 AXIS. You will also need to click the on the right and Set Inverted Axis.
The second lever is Joystick Axis 15. You want to assign this to THROTTLE 2 AXIS. You will also need to click the on the right and Set Inverted Axis.
Next find Flight Control Surfaces/Secondary Control Surfaces…
The third lever is Joystick Axis 12. You want to assign this to FLAPS AXIS.
These are just some notes to get you started. You will have questions, as this is a little complicated the first few (dozen) times around. We have all been there before, hang in there and keep asking questions!
So glad you asked this question OP. I’ve been struggling to find an accurate mapping of the TM Boeing yoke for XBX as well. Any advice on how to get the reverse thrusters to work for the propellers? Whenever I scan for that input and move the thrusters on the quadrant, nothing is recognized?? Perhaps if I just had the button assignments, I could override? Someone told me it’s buttons 25 and 26 (for a single throttle quadrant)? And not to get too greedy, but I simply cannot get the autopilot to behave with same setup. Whenever I hit NAV or HDG mode, the airplane immediately goes into a hard left nose dive – making career mode more of a grind that I want it to be! Any advice/help welcomed!!!
