Bonus items from MSFS 2024 marketplace missing in MSFS 2020

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

I did buy a couple of packages in the MSFS 2024 marketplace on the current SU2 beta (1.4.18.0). At least some of them listed this in the marketplace, right below the title:

“Bonus: on purchase is included the msfs 2020 version of the item.”

The items were:

Aircraft Realistic Lights
Enhanced Airport Graphics
Enhanced Runway Lights
Enhanced Taxiway Signs
Enhanced Windsock

I am not sure which ones did have that notice, because it disappears once the items have been bought. I am very certain that at least some of them had that notice. None of these ever appear in MSFS 2020 marketplace or content manager as owned, installed or available. I bought Enhanced Airport Graphics twice (once more in 2020), which worked, but is obviously not what I expect.

A different, but related issue: Items which are marked as “FS2020” and “FS2024” in the 2024 marketplace also seem to be only available in FS2024 after buying. I did buy FS BIRDS - CENTRAL EUROPE and it did not appear in FS2020 until buying it again. This may be intended, but is horribly misleading: Why would FS2024 show FS2020 compatibility if it’s not usable with FS2020 if bought in FS2024? Maybe these should be synchronized to MSFS 2020, too?

The connection between both Sim versions seems to be there, generally: 2020 content was made available in 2024 where applicable.

Yes, but I placed them back again.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

I quit and started both Sims (2020, 2024) multiple times and waited half a day, the content never appears in 2020.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Buy some of the mentioned Enhanced packages in MSFS 2024 marketplace (MS Store version) and install.
  2. Exit MSFS 2024 (optional: restart MSFS 2024 (just to make sure), exit MSFS 2024 again)
  3. Start MSFS 2020 (MS Store version, too; same account). Marketplace does not show additional owned items, content manager does not show additional available or installed items. No downloads are being initiated.

There are numerous 2024 items which show this, which does not seem to have any effect. The notice disappears after buying the item:

Not sure if my products will appear, but given that it would be unexpected to wait 12+ hours without notice for a digital product to arrive, this should then still be considered a bug. Also, I will still have no idea whether this solves both cases (given that I already bought another copy of the 2020+2024 item): Will 2020+2024 items and 2024 items with bonus 2020 item both become available?

Since this is an issue with a purchase in the Marketplace, if you have not already done so, I’d suggest that you open a support ticket here for this.

I received the items in 2020 after almost 3 days. Such long delays should be regarded as a bug, at least a notice that this may happen should be shown. Still waiting for a reply from support.

Support confirmed the issue, but did not answer regarding refunds. Buyer, beware: Make sure you have time to wait a couple of days to receive what you bought.
