This issue has re appeared again, please could this be fixed. When you load a flightplan and select either ILS approach, it goes straight into the side of the runway.
So you can receive the ILS signal but the issue is that it brings into the side of the runway 040 or 22 ?. From your 1st post, it seems the ILS is not working at all.
Have you tried with different aircraft ?
I can confirm the existence of this bug. I tried to land a 737 MAX8 twice in career mode and checked the settings several times. The plane just won’t get an ILS signal at all. I had to land manually. I’ve flown a total of 942 hours, so I know how ILS works.
This works fine on 04 and 22. Tested on PC-12, PC-24, Boeing 737 and on Airbus. I recorded the Airbus landing on runway 04 so people could look at how I setup the ILS just in case. But no issues this end:
It works fine. Happy to record a video if you would like. Appreciate the amount of flying hours but even im contunually learning and reading. My guidance is:
1 make sure FD is on
2 NAV code set correctly and active
3 MCDU has ILS set up for runway (optional)
4 LOC set when in range
5 Approach the glide slope from below. It wont work if you approach from above and activate approach (APP)
I just landed in Riga without any problems. The plane caught the glideslope right away. I tried twice in Stansted and double-checked the settings on each go. The third time I landed manually because I noticed that I was running out of kerosene. I don’t know what the problem was… ILS frequency was correct, MCDU approach setting, altitude, degree to approach, mode was APP, etc. I don’t know, but in Riga we are now… flying our own fleet’s plane.
Nice to see Airbus after a long time, as I’ve been focused on raising money for the 737 MAX8 fleet all last year. I’ve flown a small bus a few times so I can keep my Finnair contract in Pilot’s Life software. But otherwise I’ve been flying for money in MSFS2024 career mode.
This is a nice hobby!
EDIT: By the way… I use Navigraph Charts. The frequency is exactly the same as what you see in your video.
Ahh thats interesting. There have been a few reports where navigraph have been missing some airports. Wonder if thats the issue. What happens if you remove the navigraph data and integration does it work then?
Now I’m not interested about emptying community folder, because I haven’t had problems with other airports. And I’m probably not flying to Stansted for awhile… but I’ll keep this option in my mind, if I see another problem somewhere. Thanks for helping me!
