Bravo Throttle quadrant Mixture lever (FIXED)

After over a year since pre-ordering a Bravo, it arrived yesterday.

2 “Quirks” I need to figure out.

  1. The trim wheel being to Slow with really small increments. (I think Axis and Ooohs will be required until there is a fix).

  2. The mixture lever.

I assigned it as the 0-100% axis and the white horizontal bar moves smoothly in accordance with the lever movement. But as soon as i jump in a plane (PA28, 152 or bonanza) I have to move the lever about 40% forward before the lever in the cockpit moves. So I am only using about 60% of the lever movement for 100% movement .

This makes precise mixture control more difficult . My Siatek Throttle quadrant did not display this behavior.

Tried several planes and assigned different levers on the quadrant., but the same result.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Yup. There is an axis mapping option which basically inhibits by about 50% I think it’s so you can set up an alpha and beta range. (Thrust reverse)
This is by design.

Also…I noticed that if you map any axis to the RIGHT HAND field that there is like a 25%/50%/25% inhibit…I don’t think that this is by design.

I dont get it … what has thrust reverse to do with the mixture axis react8ng (too) late?

  1. There are axis types which do different stuff by design.
  2. There appear to be bugs which impact axis mapping which appear to do things NOT be design. *

I reported one a few months ago. It was 100% reproducable on any axis including joystick X & Y

You describe an axis that you can see working full range in the config but once in plane you must advance the axis beyond 50% before it has any effect.

This is the exact behaviour of the axis that has an inhibit by design. Maybe they did it for some reason that makes sense to them?.

So basically, if neither the 0-100% nor the -100-100% setting works right, it seems to be a bug.

If none of them work full range in sim but you see full range operation in the config then indeed I reckon you have discovered a bug.

You are mapped to the left of the 2 fields? Not the right? (Because I’m sure the right field is bugged for axes)

You see full range op outside sim (DIView)?
You see full range op in config?
You are inhibited in cockpit…

Well, that’s what (if I understood it correctly), what the OP was experiencing. Only the upper par5 of the physical lever movement translates to some movement in the sim.

And that’s, what I experience too … at least if some single engine piston aircraft.

What i still don’t get, is what „left“ or „right fields“ being mapped to, you are talking about. Maybe a screenshot would clarify that.

FIXED IT !

It was the "Mixture Axis -100 to 100 " I had to assign .

Mixture Axis 0-100 is the WRONG setting

Working away from home until Friday night.

Reading the screen from left to right you have…

Description of function to be mapped…and then two columns of “spaces” where whatever key/button/axis you chose appears…

Map always on the left of those two columns

ah, now I understand … thx for explanation.
