Hello guys!
I need your help with an issue. Im trying to start the APU, following the “internal” checklists, but there is no way to start it and that the aircraft uses the electricity generated from it. When all seems started, and the master, generator and starter on, (also Apu bleed as the checklist say), I press the button to remove the GPU, but everytime I do this, the aircraft switches off by himself, and takes power from the batteries. Does anyone have any pdf or any other procedure?
Thanks!!!
The start procedures for this aircraft are nothing at all like the 737 start procedures. Everything is completely wrong from APU to Engines to Bleed systems. I can’t even begin to get into that. Unfortunately, it’s the way this thing has been since release and I don’t see it being fixed. Those who are able to start it will develop some terrible habits for when the real PMDG 737 aircraft comes because it’s not at all how any of it works.
The power-on/start sequence is a disaster, but try these steps, as wrong as they are:
- Open cover and click to standby power switch
- Turn Bat switch knob to ON (overhead panel lights should turn on)
- Turn External Power to ON
- Set APU Bleed to ON
- APU Start Switch to ON
- APU Gen Switch to ON (the APU Fault light should illuminate)
- Fuel Pumps ON
- Hydraulic Pumps (which appear to function as Engine/APU generators) ON
Besides the only one wing flex and messed up power on procedure, anyone noticed there are too many switches for landing lights for a MAX?
Oh! and the representation of metal surfaces in the exterior looks nothing like metal, ie. engine inlet lip, APU exhaust, wing leading edge, etc
First of all thanks for all your help, also to @BostonJeremy77 , but the problem persist… There is no way to “manually” start this aircraft, only if I press Ctrl+E it start with both engines at the same time, etc etc…
Waiting for PMDG 737 so, thanks guys!!!
I don’t own this addon but maybe this video I found is helpful ?
There are also some PDF Checkliusts on flightsim.to to be found
https://de.flightsim.to/c/user-content/checklists/
and a manual on the developer website
Hi All! Apologies if this has already been asked and answered or if this is the wrong thread. Newish to flight sim. Played FSX back in the day but didn’t really appreciate it as I do now. I am on an Xbox series S and purchased the 737 Max. I have issues taking off. It’s almost like the elevator isn’t working right. I’ve played around with the Thrustmaster HOTUS joy stick and Xbox controller dead zones, etc. but nothing seems to help unless I am running full flaps and it lifts off on its own.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug? Any advice is appreciated!
are any assist options on ?
Nope. I turned all assists off. The only ones I have on are taxi ribbons. Just happened again taking off from KLAX. I had to get close to 200 knots and pull back all the way for it to respond. I can’t imagine it’s 100% the settings since I have no issues in the A320, 747, 787 and both 777’s. Might be worth noting that I am doing a long-ish flight to Honolulu right now so my fuel level is ~80%
Yeah same issue for me, did you resolve the issue?
I have had this issue before-is your Flight Model set to Modern? This fixed the issue for me.
Why does plane maneuvers feel stiff under 200 knots I have mine set to modern flight mode?
When at or below 200 knots, are your flaps extended? High speed aircraft will tend to be a little sluggish when flying at lower speeds, and extended flaps will help with lower speed maneuvering. Depending on the aircraft, extend the slats below 200, and extend the flaps one step at a time depending on the recommended flap settings for the aircraft you’re flying. BTW, I won’t fly that 737 from Bredok 3d. It’s a glorified FSX junker in my opinion. Get the Flybywire A320nx. It’s a great study level aircraft.
Anyone else having weird fuel pump bugs?
With all 6 pumps on and a center tank running out of fuel the plane tends to decide one engine cant get fuel based on the east west direction of flight…
example Miami to LAX
All 6 pumps on cross feed off…
Center tank runs low on fuel center tanks off
Left engine drinks the L wing GOOD
Right engine drinks the center until center is dry then shuts down…
Only way to recover it is open cross feed and let it have the left wing tank???
Why???
In a westerly direction flight I cant use the Right wing tank at all… setup a different flight or start with no fuel in center and the outcome changes drastically… Can anyone explain this or is it a Bredock bug?
Get the PMDG 737, and don’t waste your time trying to figure out why nothing works on this thing.
Or wait till they sell the Max, this thing is just frustration in a plane with all the issues it has…
I got rid of this piece of junk right after I bought it. It would’ve been better to wait for the PMDG 737.
MS was able to refund me after I bought it.
Is there a new 737 for Xbox yet?
Me too and not yet.
Why can’t I land this thing lol. I’m disarming autopilot and auto throttle and I’m just bouncing off the runway and effectively crashing. What could I be doing wrong. I’m fine in every other aircraft that I use including all the airbus a320, 787, longitude etc
