They aren’t in preparation. All mission content was blocked in MyLibrary. This includes Discovery flights and Landing Challenges which ARE in the sim.
They may be trying to allow enabling of activity content that does work, and instead activated content which isn’t working yet. This actually just makes things worse for the developers though. Since it is addon content, the official stance is support has to go to the 3rd party developer. Bush trips dont work because the code for it is still missing. Yet now 3rd party developers will have support tickets for non-working content, when it is Microsoft which is at fault.
But I do agree that any addon that is just landing challenges, it should be available.
My guess is that they are so busy fixing the base sim (given that even Sim Update 1 took so long) so that all secondary stuff has a very low priority for the devs. If it wasnt for the terrible release and the ongoing bug fix marathon, we would have seen bush trips by now for sure. They will definitely come back because why should they create new bush trips like the WU Brazil trips to release them for MSFS 2020 only? So we have to wait a long time as it is probably something like number 235 on the priority list for Asobo.

Please port the 2020 bush trips to 2024. A lot of work went into the 2020 bush trip waypoints and interesting comments, and this information should not be lost as the community moves to 2024. From the comments I read, many users enjoy bush trips as much as free flight.
And fix the 2020 bugs that stop some bush trips cold because landing at the airport at the end of a leg is not recognized.

Hopefully they will bring back bush trips, since its my most favourite game mode and free flight.
I have even bought the Premium Deluxe Version of the game just because i was so amazed by Bush Trips in Flight Sim 2020 and was looking forward to them in 2024.
Even better it would be to bring back the bush trips 2020 directly to 2024 sim, if that is possible, but also just new ones would be great.

Bush trips were my favourite! I’d fly with Wikipedia and Google Earth open, learning about the places I was flying over.

BushTalkRadio will do that for you, it provides information about POIs and the region for free. The payware SayIntentions offers an AI tour guide too.
It’s so sad that we still don’t have bush flights many months after the release of MSFS2024. Please bring it back. It’s a key part of the gameplay for exploring the world in the simulation. I don’t understand how anyone could have made the decision not to include it in the main game. Very frustrating …

I understand why bush trips may have been temporarily removed from the plan for MSFS 2024, given how much trouble they were in MSFS 2020. But seriously…assign resources, figure it out, and add it back. Please! It was my favorite part of the sim.
