Bring back the ability to use sim connect with VFRmap

Funny with so many thinks broken in the game, one of the first “things” they did was remove the ability to teleport.

Regarding opinion that:

“Use of time acceleration and teleportation breaks the progression developers intend career mode to have. It’s simple. Career mode is not meant to be a free-for-all.”

Here are my thoughts:

  • Currently, there is no way to purchase in-game credits. If even the time acceleration feature is removed, will anyone still play Career Mode? Flying a C208 for 6 hours through crosswinds, turbulence, and stormy weather to reach the UK isn’t fun; it’s a disaster.
  • If time acceleration and teleportation are permanently disabled, even adding in-game credit wouldn’t give me a reason to purchase large aircraft
  • Large aircraft missions will likely have significantly longer flight times. I cannot sit in front of a computer for 8-10 hours straight to complete a single mission.
  • A game should remain a game, not become a laborious chore. I will simply stick to free flights
  • if acceleration and teleportation are removed, I no longer wish to play career. it’s simple

In conclusion, even if I purchase the 737, I won’t be able to use it effectively without teleportation, so I’m giving up on Career Mode. Had teleportation remained while also offering aircraft in the marketplace, I would have purchased them all.

It’s unfortunate, but I wish you all a happy holiday season. Enjoy your flights.

What’s the longest single, continuous (can’t save, etc) mission anyone can think of in another game? Asking for more than a couple hours is a lot, but for real, it can lead to health issues.

Yeah, I know autopilot and all, but irl, these are often crewed missions and you can get up and walk, use the restroom, and your other crew will handle any ATC calls. I guess they’re expecting us to pause a lot, but if I pause for, say, an hour, does that mess with anything, like weather?

This is all exacerbated by the fact we kind of have to watch for so many bugs to appear that could literally crash the aircraft or the sim. And long flights are a risk, anyway, because the sim has a propensity to crash the longer it runs or the nearer to a large airport you are. Long missions are a big “no thanks” for me at this point. I won’t even consider anything over three hours, and that’s stretching it.

The peopel who are concerned about breaking immersion shouldn’t like pausing. I suppose they could simulate reality by having their spouse act as the co-pilot and watch the sim while they use the bathroom and make lunch.

It would be understandable if the game had some issues but not as many as it does. I also don’t blame the devs since they probably did the best they could in the time they had.

If they’re smart the microtransactions won’t happen. The number of people actually willing to buy credits won’t be that big. It’s far better if they stick to making new aircraft or liveries.

The career already has an arcadey feel since you reputation doesn not affect anything other than your payout. You can have the worst reputation and still fly airliners.

The more they’ll try to limit functionality the less people are going to play.

Which was not an issues nor a bug. It was a function that was already available in 2020. You had the choice to use it or not. With all the numerous bugs in career you don’t have a choice if they will affect you or not.

You could also argue that career mode breaks the progression players intended/hoped to have with regard to mission access.

I completly agree that teleportation and mods should be fully allowed in singleplayer career mode.

As far as I remember even back in Amiga games where the cheat codes were publicly distributed in magazines all singleplayer games had option to skip or buff your game. Some games like Skyrim even go as far as providing entire console to modify any aspect of the game.

It should be up to the player to decide how he chooses to play the game.

The game balancig is terrible, with the bugs it makes it unplayable for most working people.

For now we are stuck with third party software like FS2024Wormhole from androdev88 github, which unfortunatelly won’t be easy to maintain as each release update will break it.

I really hope the decision to remove this option wasn’t to make another micro-transaction riddled pay-to-win game.

This is the first community i’ve been in that wants to stop “cheating” like this in a SINGLE PLAYER MODE.
Every other single player game people are sharing ways on how to use exploits to have more fun.
If they do put in micro-transactions they will lose a lot more than they would earn by simply releasing aircraft and liveries.

Thanks for the plug, but as I explain here MicroSobo have disabled all toolbar apps apart from the efb (afaik).

Please lobby them for a creative career mode with unlocked access to all toolbar apps.

@kROWENa thanks for the vote of confidence!

@Culley4246 That’s one of the core reasons I built it in the first place, so I could practice more efficiently.

Respect for one thing. One thing I can’t stand is games that don’t respect your time. Any game that has some form of acceleration or booster in it does the exact opposite. You know the type, earn x2 XP for the next 8 hours, that kind of thing. It exists solely because they designed the game to make that an attractive option. It doesn’t respect your time, it seeks to exploit it.

after 5 days of not playing i decided to try again, booted up a career mission in my caravan, took off, stalled and started crashing, noticed the game didnt give me fuel…
restarted the mission and made sure i had fuel.
succeeded to fly to the end of the mission, landing went smooth until the plane decided to randomly jump into the air again and tumbled nose first into the runway, resulting in yet another crash.
im stuck at 0 credits now, with 2 broken planes both around 1.5 million credits in damages.

im so sick and tired of this bugfest, and i need to restrain myself from starting to swear and rage on this forum… cause we all know that aint going nowhere.

they either give me some way to make some fest credits (IE teleport) make it so you can “rent” credits from an ingame bank, or add difficulity settings or even just plain : “add credit cheats” cause im F****** done!

Were you near any obstructions? If so, give this thread a look regarding a potential hit box bug causing crashes when not actually contacting anything.

nop, flat runway, medal wasnt running sadly. plane just decided to take airborne again at 15-20kt’s and then immediately slamming back down.

but yeah im done, im not in the right mind to farm 1.5 million just to repair the plane to have it crash again.
not to mention my diamond DA62 is also broken with 1.5 million in repairs (that one exploded when i skipped with Alt-N) link to medal.tv

all those glitches, bugs and random stuff just makes me lose the will to play anything. especially having to start over at 0 credits, having to play atleast 5 hours to get back into my caravan is just… wow…
and then them taking away the tools to make it bareble.
i dont mind grinding, but if i waste so much time for absolutely zero gain, i want the option to “cheat”

Maybe they saw how many people buy Fifa points and thought it would be the same here.

i will complain at steam and get a refund, even will go to court to make it so if i have to. if they try it, cause it will be the most stupidest thing ever.

I really hope they’re not planning on doing this. If they do their reputation is going to suffer more than it already did. If they really want to make more money they should just make more planes to buy. A lot more people are willing to buy new aircraft than ingame money.

If they really wanted to make more money, they should make a sim worth buying in the first place and not remove what have become almost necessary features to work around all the bugs. I’d be curious to see how many refunds they have had to issue. The only reason I still have it is because I’m already subscribed to Game Pass and not paying any extra for it. I want to buy one of the upgraded versions, but not with the sim in its present state. I’m certainly not buying any new planes in part for the same reason.

Big reason it’s having issues getting off the ground. Cannot be overstated.

I meant make more money in game. We will never know the number of refunds. It would be to embarrasing for them to admit the real number.
My point was that people are willing to buy planes if they’re good. Considering there’s a rented tab in my library we will probabaly be able to test them. But people won’t buy credits. This is not Fifa. It’s a completely different audience.

The game is really good when there’s no bugs. Sadly that’s quite rare. But this is the standard in the gaming industry today. Release broken and slowly fix. But as long as people keep preordering this will not change.
