The clicking noise would signify that your NOT actually running the latest Version.
Maybe the streaming is picking up an earlier version ?

Ah yes, content manager is still showing 2.1.2.
Yes all streamed versions of addons from third-party developers in the Library are older versions released before MSFS 2024, so they may have compatibility issues or not work at all.
I still don’t understand why they wouldn’t even allow addons already in the Marketplace to at least get updates.
Our ticking fix required a new sound set ..

It’s the same for me in Marketplace: 2.1.2. It also says that the content creator does not approve it. I hope it comes to the Marketplace soon!
Yes please be patient .. we are in the hands of MS Marketplace .. when they can open the marketplace and release the Update you WILL see the latest versions available

I’ve been waiting for my Marketplace version of the BN2 Islander to be updated to the same version as BlackBox website. Yesterday, Microsoft finally updated it to version v2.2.3. Yea !!!

Mine is still showing 2.1.2 in Marketplace.
Are you using 2020 or 2024?
I am using only 2024. When I go into My Library and search for Islander, it shows v2.2.3 Streamed. When I select it and choose More Options, Open Marketplace Page, it shows v2.1.2. They just haven’t updated the Updates History information yet.
One thing I did do before I noticed the new version:
I Disabled the Islander, then I exited the sim. Then I restarted the sim and Enabled the Islander.
If the version in My Library was not updated to v2.2.3, you might have to fly the Islander again before it streams the new version.

I’ve never enabled the Islander, as I knew it was outdated.

Are you suggesting I should enable it, and then see if it automagically will, suddenly, be v. 2.2.3?
Yes, you have to select the islander and then you can Enable it. Then it will download new files. If the version doesn’t change then go through the steps I mentioned in my last post.

I tried all that. It remains on 2.1.2.
Ok, I’ve got the correct version of the Islander now and the constant ticking sound is gone however I lose engine power/thrust when taxiing - the engine doesn’t stop running but I can’t go forward anymore since the engines seem to idle and they don’t create enough thrust to move anymore. Anyone else experiencing this?
Are you using carb heat? This has caught me out multiple times in the past.
It’s important in this aircraft.
