Just did the first flight. Great plane. Unfortunately the 3rd engine (back) died on me midflight and I couldn’t figure out why. Anybody has a hint for me?

Carb icing seems to be the leading cause of engine failures among new users. Remember that you have to select the engine that you want to read the carb temp of. Icing effects are well modeled here and if you add fuel without the right amount of air getting through the carb, out goes the fire and things get quiet!

Question : is the MSFS checklist available on this on or the Islander? Or are they both study level?

Just purchased - been waiting to fly JOEY for a while. Am exceptionally pleased with this aircraft - great job to bring it to Xbox.
For Xbox users will you be providing a link to any existing documentation/tutorials - we can’t get these with our download and it seems there are a few systems issues we need to read up on.
Many thanks….

Maybe this will help?!

The Islander is getting an upgrade at some point to match the Trislander. I believe IG checklists are being worked on, unless I’m remembering a different thread.

PLUS these links are available from your secondary support URL

Usually due to Carb Icing or mixture too lean
can also be caused by pulling prop levers back too much while in flight

where did you get this version from with the 3 different colour prop spinners, or is it something you made yourself?
I would really love to have a go at doing that so I can make a G-BEVT how it was when I flew in her but its beyond my skill level.

You’re correct. I am working on them, but been juggling a bunch of IRL junk. :frowning: I am going to dedicate some type to tippy-tap on the keyboard this weekend though. Need to get 'ya folks the checklists!

The longnose with 3-bladed props can have all 3 spinners different colours.

Can anyone on Xbox confirm that when you press the aspen text in the cockpit the avionics change to the digital package?

Just want to know that’s implemented on Xbox before pulling the trigger.

Anyone exercise their VelocityOne’s 7 axes in a way that satisfies the demand of 3 TPM controls?

Thanks for the info! Been following this thread and downloaded the POH, I’m ready to learn and fly.
