Took the Trislander out for a little hop across the northern portion of Lake Superior, smooth flight and landing, no beverages were spilled.

If you even suspect it’s icing, give it all the heat for a little bit.

Had to be done.

I’d hate to see your spark plugs after a couple hours.

That’s actually a great idea, I have a Saitek throttle quadrant collecting dust.

There ain’t no such thing as a little carb heat , unless you have a carb temp gauge. It’s like being pregnant: either you are or you aren’t. Carb heat should be either full on or full off. If you use “a little” you can use just enough to melt the ice in front of the carb throat, only to have it go through the venturi and freeze on the other side, where there is no carb heat inlet. If you do that you’ve got a serious problem, because now you’ve got carb ice and no way to melt it.

Always remember, carb heat and pregnancy: either yes or no, there’s nothing in-between. :joy:

I don’t own the Trislander.

what? no 12000ft mountains?

I concur. Now I just need a set of green “ball” mixture knobs for the Saitek quadrant.

in the Trislander

Everything works fine for me with the Trislander. I just wanted to point out that it could well be that some functions can not be executed with the controller, as is the case with the Islander. There everything works fine if you use the mouse. However, not with the controller! Also the switches can not be operated. But we already had the topic in another unanswered Thread.

There are no less than three responses from me in this “unanswered” thread

Just to return to the controller / Aspen and door issues, it infact does work without a mouse.

Basically what happens is when you first press the button it appears that nothing happens, but what actually happens is that another “button” appears off screen and all you need to do is hit ‘A’ again without pressing LS or moving LS and the Aspen PFD will appear, or in the case of the cockpit widow it opens.

Sorry, but I don’t read a single answer there! What am I missing?

You running FS2020 on a Mac?!

Got your levers then, maybe worth asking who made them if he could do some Trislander mixture levers for the saitek. its worth asking, after all I asked about the Trislander levers and he made them. I got the islander mixture levers as well but the Islnadr has been a bit neglected since getting the Trislander!

Hahahah! My desk doubles as my workspace during the week. I gotta pay for all these MSFS addons and hardware somehow! When I’m flying, the Honeycomb Alpha goes where the MacBook Pro is.
