ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Some interface components and cockpit-integrated tools randomly become unresponsive or completely disappear during gameplay, forcing a restart — and sometimes a full reinstall of the simulator:
- EFB/tablet systems or MCDU/FMC units fail to load or become frozen mid-flight.
- In some aircraft, buttons or clickspots stop responding entirely.
- In the main menu, certain interface options may vanish or become greyed out.
- ATIS, map loading, or checklists may stop working after flight reloads.
- When these bugs occur, restarting the sim doesn’t fix them — only a full reinstall seems to resolve the issue.
While this may tie into deeper performance or caching issues, it is fundamentally a user interface stability bug that greatly affects usability and immersion.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
- Occasionally, but unpredictable.
- Once it happens, the issue persists across flights until drastic action is taken.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
- Launch a flight in any aircraft (e.g. A320neo or Cessna 172).
- Use cockpit interfaces like FMC, map/tablet, ATIS, or assistance menus.
- Observe mid-flight whether controls or windows become unresponsive or invisible.
- Attempt restart; if ineffective, full reinstall is often the only resolution.
