I had the same, but after fiddling with the volume mixer sliders (Windows Settings - System - Sound - Volume Mixer) the sound suddenly kicked in. I did not need to wipe clean the streamed packages.

⢠I got a new sound app every time I click on a option in a menu.
I wiped the whole Microsoft 2024 folder under AppData. The cockpit sounds have now come back (despite the -1 setting in the Windows 11 Sound Mixer, which is still there). My Control Mappings appear unaffected, presumably because they were restored from the Steam cloud. No idea what might happen if you try this on a Microsoft Store installation.
I done this two times already, no any success
Same here, first time i noticed it was with the Cub in one of the first licence missions, the one with the small tail wheel.
Same problem here (PC - Steam version).
Wiped the StreamedPackages folder as suggested here, tried again, problem persists.
I can only hear the engines (and very soft) if I turn the global PC volume slider to max, which destroys my ears as soon as I move out of the cockpit LOL
Even the stall horn of the Cessna is barely hearableā¦
May be I will try to wipe now the complete folder in Roaming, not just the StreamedPackages oneā¦

I cleared the Roaming folder for MSFS2024 and the sound is now working.
this workaround also works 4 me THX
C:\Users[USER]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\StreamedPackages but you have to close the sim
I have the same issue on only 2 planes (so far) - A330 and C17 - all others seem ok.
Store PC version.
Iāll try the roaming delete tomorrow.
Is there any way to uninstall the store bought version for a clean re-install? Canāt see it in the control panel program list and thereās no option in the store. Confused.
It works for me
Strange, I have no Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 folder in my user/name/app data/roaming folder? (store version)
Store version should be here: C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbI
It has quite the strange name!
I canāt even get the 172 started from cold and dark⦠not CTRL E works, engine starts, sputters and dies while making no soundā¦grrrr
Same weird issue:
Also my bluetooth headphones are switching to low quality, as if I just joined a zoom call. It happens when MSFS2024 is started, even though Iāve set a different device as my mic input device.
I have the Steam version. I had the issue before with the C152. Was able to resolve it by clearing
ā¦\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\StreamedPackages
Actually only deleting the C152 folder did the trick.
However I have no sound with the Bonanza G36, no matter what I do.
Any Ideas? Does anybody have (engine) sound with the G36?
I also did not have engine sound with the bonanza
