Buildings and cars look too small when flying very low

I don’t know if this is a VR specific issue but I experience it in VR because I fly 100% in VR.
When flying low buildings and cars look miniature vs the size of my aircraft. Flying close to the ground trying to chase vehicles down the highway the width of a small aircraft seems to be wide as 6 lanes of highway and cars look miniature as do buildings.
I have experiments with world scale settings in open xr toolkit but that only seems to affect the scale inside the cockpit. The cockpit itself looks best to me at near 120% but no matter whether at 100%, above or below 100% the objects outside in the world still look the same and too small when up close.

Since it’s a word scale slider and not an aircraft scale slider, it should also affect the scenery as well.
But perceived scale is a tricky thing and depends also on resolution and detail and subjective feeling.
For instance look at a photo with blurred foreground and backgrund. You will see a miniature world. So told you your brain.

I think its just perception. I only fly in VR and spend a lot of time outside the plane ‘walking’ around. The cars and houses are mostly to proportion. The exception is sometimes houses are autogenerated that are in reality sheds or other small buildings, but the sim depicts them as little houses.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with the world scale, things looks small when you’re up in the air.

I know things look smaller from a distance. I’m talking about doing things you would get in trouble for in real life. Flying a h145 or kitfox right down at ground level but the buildings and vehicles still look too small in my Varjo Aero.
I can see also see parked trailers for trucks in the photogrammetry that look larger than the trucks moving around on the road nearby which confirms the ones on the road are too small.

Those ridiculous erratic antlike moving vehicles could be indeed a little too small. Since I don’t like their behaviour I disabled them long ago.
Advice: Never land in a melted zone (PG). It’s ugly.
The autogen and POI buildings on the other hand have reasonable scale mostly.

The dimension scales are ■■■■■■■ indeed. Take out a Volocopter, you know it’s real world dimensions, and land next to a photogrammetry sea container. Sea containers are standardized and their dimensions are well known.

The real world is about .75 times the aircraft sizes in the sim. Unfortunately, no fix.

I’d agree. Even the runways seem small overall. I know some fields are tiny anyway, but landing at a major international airport in a 172, although it feels fairly big, I would expect to feel completely dwarfed by the scale of things - and I don’t
