What if… we could open the Manual’s that come with some of these planes ‘in’ MSFS? We can open other windows via the Escape key and go into sections of the sim, like Options / Controls. What if we could access a ‘selected’ plane we are in and select ‘view Manual’ and check out the manual ‘in-sim’? So many people would be able to learn more about their planes ‘right there’. It would be like the Checklist system, totally accessable. Pause the flight, access the manual, find the info you need, escape back into the flight, continue on…
Just a humble thought…

There are at least 3 options I already have that can do that.
- Sky4Sim Sky4Sim Pad NG – Free - Sky4Sim: Microsoft Flight Simulator all in one addon
- All-in-One Tablet https://www.flightsimulator.me/
- Kneeboard viewer https://flightsim.to/file/9723/kneeboard-viewer-10
But yes something more integrated would be nice too!

None of those are compatible with Xbox, though… Bill’s suggestion would integrate the viewer directly into the sim itself, making it available to all regardless of platform.

Yes I know. But does Xbox even have a file system that can be read in that way? Or a PDF Reader application already?
Voted anyway for what it’s worth
Yes, you can open PDF’s on Xbox via the Edge browser. Not ideal, but does work well. I feel more interactive manuals based on HTML5 are the way to go. You can open those on anything with a browser, and when you use a good e-learning tool, it can be more effective, certainly for less experienced users.

Hi Bill,
Could you add an Xbox tag to this? (If, that is, you are hoping for a PDF reader made available to Xbox users.) Or add PC and Xbox tags if you want it for both platforms.
