Join us Friday October 6th, 1900Z East US Server. We’ll be exploring Maui and the Big Island, including flights over volcanoes and observatories on both islands. Highest altitude is around the top of Mauna Lea on the big island at 13,800 ft.
This volcano is actually more like 33,000 feet if you include the portion underwater – so the tallest mountain on earth. Well fly over Molokini crater off the coast of Maui.
230nm to cover so cruise speed around 140 knots. The starting airport serves Lahaina, scene of the recent fire and the original capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom.
