This Saturday we’ll be flying in Peru, starting at SPZO, in the city centre of Cusco, at 10,810 ft altitude: one of the highest intl. airports in the world! With this high altitude you might want to bring something turbocharged, turbopropped or just overpowered. We’ll begin a strictly off field adventure through the Vilcabamba Mountain Range, part of the Peruvian Andes. Along the way we will climb (17,400ft) to the highest peak, Salcantay, and descend the other side to visit the famous Inca ruins of Machu Picchu (optional free add-on!) as we head further north to our final destination Kiteni airfield (SPKI), along the Urabamba river.
There will be 6 off field landings, some on hillsides, one on a mountain glacier and some near Incan ruins.
Any small STOL aircraft with a turboprop or with an over-powered naturally aspirated engine will do. Two examples: default Cessna 208 Caravan or Parallel 42 (Kit)Fox2 with the 915 iS engine (242hp)
Optional add-on for Machu Picchu , aka the lost city of the Incas : https://flightsim.to/file/14281/machu-picchu
