Button in Settings to Delete ALL Saved Settings, for a Complete Reset of MSFS

We need a simple button in Settings that would allow a FULL reset of ALL saved User Data and Settings for MSFS in order to get back to a new user experience, and set up MSFS with literally nothing kept from the past. A 100% reset.

Of course, it would help to have a few similar buttons to be a bit more selective, and delete just Settings, or just flight history, or Clear all caches…

For example when the list of Devices in Settings > Controls gets corrupted (as it did for me today), there is no way to “reset” that.

The only published way to fix that is a Command Line outside of MSFS, published on Zendesk: How to delete a cloud save to fix some loading or crashing issues (Crashing on the identity screen, spawning inside buildings,…) – Microsoft Flight Simulator Support

The PROBLEM is that as of today in SU4 Beta 1.6.5.0, the above instructions no longer delete Cloud Save data - and somehow the corrupted Control Settings I was trying to delete came BACK from the cloud. So I ended up deleting everything except the 1 corrupted thing that needed deleting.

So as of today there appears to be NO way to delete corrupted user data. I deleted Cloud Save data, and re-installed a new MSFS, and STILL the corrupted data came back from the cloud!

We need a simple button to properly reset MSFS to 100% of it’s default original state with NO past data. Period. Thanks for hearing this request.

We’ve been going through this for almost a year. From update to update never sure what gonna work. Things that get fixed in this update are broken in the next.
