I have never bought anything in the MSFS store. I bought a scenery and planes outside the MSFS Store only. Now I wanted to buy the new DHC-4 in the MSFS store, but it doesn’t work. I have the Steam version and when I press “buy” in the store from the MSFS, the steam pays up. Is that right? If I then want to pay via PayPal, I login to PayPal, get my authentification SMS … and that’s it. It doesn’t go on. The PayPal window remains white.
Any ideas?
Youre adding money to your steam wallet via pay pal, correct? Steam is just buying credits that get used on the market place, you dont actually pay in the marketplace, you buy “credits” through steam. Once you complete the transaction in the steam popup, it should take you back to the marketplace where the download will start in the upper right corner by your username.

It looks like a fix for Steam-originated payment issues is soon to come out or has come out (maybe SU12?) - until then it’s safest to avoid PayPal, but keep in mind I’ve had it fail using a CC as well. If this happens to you, they will investigate, ask for a couple of screenshots and then add the product to your account. Usually within 24 hours.
Always ensure your steam wallet has enough in it already to pay for the msfs purchase, so you dont get stuck in paypal whilst msfs is timing out…

I have no credit on the Steam account. When I buy a regular PC game on Steam (without issues), I buy through Paypal and Paypal deducts the money directly from my account. My paypal account is always zero. Apparently this doesn’t work with the MSFS store via Steam …
Look in your steam wallet (top right of the screen), there will be an add funds option that gets money from paypal and keeps it ready to use when msfs asks for it, you just have to authorise the purchase.

In the meantime I have deleted the PayPal payment method in my Steam account and wanted to create it again. Now Paypal will no longer be offered to me (only VISA/Master-Card). Sent an email to Steam support. Let’s see what comes out. I’ll just keep flying the DC-3 for now …
