Buying 2020 assets in MSFS2024?

Given:

  1. I have both MSFS 2020 and 2024.
  2. I have purchased aircraft/scenery/etc. in both versions.
  3. There are various assets, (like scenery updates, airport markings and lighting, etc.) within the 2024 marketplace marked “2020”
  4. I decide to buy something within 2024 marked “2020”

What happens?  Does it appear in both simulations?  Or do I have to buy it in 2020 to get it to appear there and in 2024?
