Buying a 1440 monitor

Hi, i am looking to buy a 1440 monitor which is not going to break the bank, looking for a little bit of guidance as there seems to be so many to choose from, i have been looking at Samsung and LG all around the 27" size

I had a samsung 27 and switched to the 32 Lg and haven’t looked back. I find the colour reproduction better on the LG. Both 2K monitors.

Which model was that?

I have two 27inch LG 1440 QHD Monitors, (27QN600) and been really happy with them. They were about ÂŁ140 from memory.

It is the LG 32GP850-B… can’t remember the Samsung model previously.

Just dont get a Gsync-compatible screen, since under 40…something you WILL get stutters. Not very happy with my LG 27GL83-a. Very uneven brightness as well, no contrast…

I’ve been using the LG 27GL850-B monitor for about 4 years and it’s been excellent. Today, I decided to buy a second monitor - MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 - taking advantage of a promotion in my country. I’ll use the LG for ETS and ATS, while the OLED will be dedicated to MSFS, Elite Dangerous, Cyberpunk and similar games.

Mine is an AOC - I don’t like spending a lot on monitors as they don’t seem to last so long (from progress) so it wasn’t expensive and I am very happy with it.

Currently £160 at Amazon - don’t know where you are but maybe worth a look.

Those OLED displays are very good indeed - I have the MSI MPG321URX, and it’s superb. Settings out of the box were pretty good too.

To the OP’s post: before I got the MSI 4K, I had an Asus VG27AQA1A which was great for MSFS driven by a 3070ti - it’s 170hz with 300 cd/m² brightness and 3000:1 contrast ratio. It supports HDR10 too, and is on offer currently at £180.

As a console simpleton. I ask this with an idea but not sure. Are you able to put the controls for plane on seperate displays? Or you prefer 1440p for flight?
