right now i have game pass on pc and i have flight simulator installed with it and i have the premium upgrade from the marketplace it i buy the standard version on steam do i still have the same marketplace as the game pass version so i can install the premium upgrade that i have already bought
Have you tried activating your current version on Steam. Steam allows some games on other platforms to be activated on their platform. Not all but some , the Add a Game option on the bottom left corner
donāt think that will work i just have the base game installed with game pass cos i have it on special offer till march so after that i am going to cancel game pass and i just wanted to know if the steam version has the same marketplace cos i have the premium upgrade in the marketplace
Pretty sure I read that the prem upgrade is not transferrable to the steam version sadly.

That makes NO SENSE whatsoever to me. I mean, a gamertag is a singular method of identifying a specific gamer, and already works cross platform. (For example, on your PC, and on your XBox.) Why they are separated when it comes to making purchases from Steam vs. the MS Store not only makes no sense to me from a business perspective, but also from a technical one. Itās like if you use Steam, you really have 2 distinct gamertags, even though you donāt, if that makes any sense.
Ack, sorry, this whole issue just makes my head want to explode from nonsensical frustration.
Steam is a vendor, they wonāt give you their service for free.
I am quite certain you will not get the deluxe or premium whatever they call it, just because you have it with game pass.
The gamepass credentials only applies to the MS Store version not for Steam.
If you were to purchase an online move from You Tubeā¦ would you expect Amazon Prime to then also show it āBecause you have already purchased itā? I dont think it woudl work. Its the same thing here, as with any digital purchase.
In the old days of Disks, sure. But not in this new world of Digital Sales.
You should be getting a discount if you have game pass. I donāt think the Steam version is actually cheaper. I had the game pass and bought the game with the discount from MS store, then cancelled game pass.
Edit: To some of the others: Heās asking if he can transfer the deluxe content to the steam version of the game. Heās not asking to get anything for freeā¦
Nothing is transfered on platform change. If you bought add-ons from the MS Store version they are not licensed for the Steam version and vice-versa. (So much for a ācentralā marketplace eh.)
and you are absolutely right in that case too.
It applies also with mobile App stores too, especially android which has multiple app stores depending on your phone. If you purchase an add on for an app on Google Play, then download the app through Amazon App Store, you may not be eligible for the add on.
