I noticed after installing SU5 i had a new cessna 152 with wheel fairings in the aircraft menu. But after installing all the content updates in-sim it was suddenly gone again. Did anyone else notice this?

Has the Cessna 152 ever had wheel fairings? That makes me curious now, let me have a look at some older YouTube videos using it…
No it never had wheel fairings (video is from 7th of April this year.)
agreed: the C152 never had wheel fairings. Haven’t ever seen a C152 with wheel fairings IRL either.
I was told wheel fairings on the C-152 used to crack from vibrations and were usually fitted before a sale. I never flew one with fairings, but they look good.

The default 152 has never had wheel fairings, either before or after SU5.
The JP Logistics mod offers a version with them. Possible another mod does too but I’m not aware of it.
Don’t know about cracking but I presumed the reason most real life 152’s don’t have them is that they’re used as trainers which means a lot of maintenance on the gear after less-than-smooth student landings, and that’s easier without having to remove the fairings and put them back on over and over.

Well just because you have not seen it doesnt mean it doesnt exist. I have seen them, they are real. Google is your friend…

Could have sworn i saw a 152 with fairings as option after installing SU5, it was in the same thumbnail style as the new versions of floats and skies.
Yes most flight schools dont use fairings on them but thats not reay what this topic is about.
So lets get one thing straight:
Cessna 152 with wheel fairings are real, its a thing. This topic is NOT about the fesability or whatever your opinion on fairings IS
All i asked is if anyone has seem the c152 with fairings appearing in the aircraft menu after SU5. NOT BEFORE, no mods were installed.
The airplane appeared in the same new thumbnail style as the c172 with skies and floats. It was only there until i installed all the updates in the content manager.
If you saw it, let me know!
If you want to talk about wheel fairings and if they are real, or who uses them, their practicallity etc. etc. please leave your opinion somewhere else

I can confirm there are C152’s in real life with wheel fairings but you dont see them that often, I rented one years ago with wheel fairings on them for a weekend and I was surprised it did since you hardly ever see them with them. Never seen it in game though not in the Beta and not in the Release. Would be nice to have though.
The JP Logistics 152 mod has them, along with lots of other nice improvements. Only downside is that custom liveries made for the “pants-less” version would require tweaking to work.
Yeah I know about the mod, I ment to say it would be nice to get a version of it added by Asobo / Mircrosoft
