Hi guys,
I’m clearly still a beginner, and I need your help about using the PC keyboard to enter info in th G1000. In a nutshell, I know (because I’ve seen youtube videos on this subject), that it should be possible to use the PC keyboard to quickly enter ICAO codes or waypoint in the MFD, but as a matter of fact, I do not see the small icon representing the keybord symbol, to activate this option …as such, I can only use the knobs …I have no idea why that small icon does not show up when I have a specific data field activated …maybe I am missing some step, but I have no idea which step, if any …I am lost …
Any help from you would be appreciated !!! Tks

The icon that I am referring to is shown in this picture below

This is not a Technical Support Response
So if you’re not seeing this icon, it’s possible you’re running the very old version of the Working Title G1000 that has been retired. Check your Community folder for any G1000 mods.
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I was assuming that everything was up to date, because I usually install updates as soon as they are available in the content mgr.
Here you are the current situation
The G1000 with the colored icon/MFD is only required for 3rd Party (non-Asobo made) planes that have not upgraded their code to point to the latest in-sim Working Title G1000 (the one with the the gray Flight Simulator icon). Try removing the colored icon one unless you really need it.
TKS !!!
I am going to uninstall that “upgrade” …and give it a try
After uninstalling the G1000 NXI version 0.14.0, the problem was still there …so in the end I did figure out what was the cause …a conflict with a custom livery I downloaded from flightsim.to called “Racing” …

With all the other “liveries”, the functionality to use the PC keyboard to enter FP, WP or a direct to destination works fine !!!
Thanks again for your help, very appreciated !!!
Have a nice day
