C172 - Cannot bind Avionics switches? (honeycomb alpha)

In the cessna 172, I am trying to use the two white avionics switches on my Honeycomb Alpha to turn AV1 and AV2 on. By default they are mapped to Set Avionics Master 1 and Set Avionics Master 2. However, flipping the physical switches does nothing in the sim.

What does work however are the following settings:

Electrical Bus 1 to Avionics Bus 1 set - Button 17 (flip av 1 on)
Electrical Bus 1 to Avionics Bus 1 off - Button 18 (flip av 1 off)

Electrical Bus 2 to Avionics Bus 2 set - Button 19 (flip av 2 on)
Electrical Bus 2 to Avionics Bus 2 off - Button 20 (flip av 2 off)

I hope this helps anyone who runs into the same problem.

Legend! Thank you!

Wonderful! Thank you thank you!

Thank you SO much. Very helpful.

Is there anyway to set these to be toggled with one button. Some other controls have set(0,1) controls; meaning when the button is held the switch is on, when it’s released the switch is off.

Thank you! I was stuck on this for a few days.

I assigned all of them controls you suggested to buttons 17 and 18. In the off settings set controls on release and you can save buttons 19 and 20 for whatever you need them for. Thanks for the tip. I wouldn’t have been able to do it otherwise

Thank you so much for this, works great now.

That worked. Thx!

Perfect - Thx - I can"t believe those are so buried and not logic at all. …

thank you brother! it was driving me nuts

WOW! Had given up on that one. Fantastic, now it works!

This will break your heading knob if you have the bravo, but check out this post to fix that: 10 degree heading bug BUG back again - #21 by TradiosNL

Just had the problem. Just fixed the problem thanks to your very useful advice!

Awesome, was driving me nuts.

Thank you. I’ve been struggling with this issue. I have confirmed your suggestion works for the C172 Basic. But not sure yet about the C172 G1000.

Yes! set BOTH electrical bus 1 and 2 to avionics bus TOGGLE (or SET depending on your switch)

Thanks !!!
