C172 G1000 Fuel and Mixture randomly pulled mid flight

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
The fuel valve and mixture are randomly pulled mid flight causing the engine to shut off. Manually pushing them in again makes the engine start. This can happen several times during a flight.
This happens in cruise with autopilot on and I’m not touching any controls.

I have verified that no keybinds exist on any of my peripherals related to the fuel valve. The only related keybind I have is the default bravo throttle mixture lever.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
Cessna 172 G1000, have not tried the other variants.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Yes

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Intermittently. It’s nearly every flight and it seems random when it happens during the flight. Some flights I’ve had it happen only once, my last flight it happened something like 5-6 times one immediately after the other, and then a few more times throughout the flight.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

I’m not sure what exactly is causing this and it seems to be intermittent, these are rough steps I took on my last flight. They may or may not be important to the bug.

  1. Load a flight in free flight (in my case, ESOE to ESOW)
  2. Start with C172 G1000 cold and dark, make sure mixture is fully in and fuel is on “both” tanks and fuel valve is pushed in before starting engine.
  3. Prepare flightplan and autopilot in the G1000
  4. Take off and upon reaching safe altitude enable the autopilot in NAV+ALT mode
  5. Sit back, enjoy the view
  6. Suddenly fuel valve and mixture is pulled / shutoff, engine dies
  7. Push them back in, engine starts
  8. Rinse and repeat until you land

Again, I’m not sure what’s really triggering this so it may happen only once, may happen multiple times during the flight or maybe not even at all. I hope more people can test and chime in with their experience to narrow down the exact steps.

Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring.
Screenshot of the fuel valve and mixture pulled during flight, unfortunately I don’t have a video of it which would probably be more helpful.

Yes! I have the identical peripherals except for the rudder pedals, mine are from Virpil. I’ve been looking everywhere for this bug and thankfully you have it too so it’s not just me.

The same thing happens to me in the C172 G1000, PC12 NGX, and Bonanza except it’s much worse because the bonanza’s engine randomly shuts off but the fuel selector valve is still on a good tank (fuel quanitity is sufficient) and the mixture isn’t at cutoff. The plane acts as though a fuel cutoff valve was pulled although the bonanza doesn’t have one (other than fuel selector valve off). Super annoying because there is no way to fix it and I just crash. Very curious if it’s some sort of invisible key bind but the oddest thing is that I am on autopilot and not touching anything when this has happened multiple times. In the PC12, the AV2 bus will randomly flip to off and this will kill the engine too (which is silly because that is modeled incorrectly since the engine wont shut off from that irl) making me do an air start.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Sounds like you have another device or keybind that is set to throttle/mixture.

I haven’t flown the 172, but I have this happen on every aircraft that has mixture. Not the fuel valve, but the mixture levers moving back. I can’t find any conflicting bindings, and it seems to always happen when switching between internal and external view.
