Thank you @Habu2u2 for your reply. I believe that the issue may have been related to me using navigraph nav data. I found that when I updated the nav data using the navigraph data manager I was able to tune to the VOR using the steam gauge C172. For anyone having this issue I recommend either reverting to the stock nav data by uninstalling the navigraph data OR making sure the navigraph data is up to date in “Navigraph Navdata Center”.
