C172SP - flaps limit, aircraft excessive shaking, taxi limits, steering to right, flaps going to full on each new flight

Description of the issue:

Cessna 172 SP behavior is extremely different from msfs2020 and from real aircraft I fly with as PPL pilot.

  • Game showing flaps speed limit in career mode - C172 has 110kt speed limit for flaps 10, and 85kt for flaps 20+, but even there is IAS 95 and flaps 10 are extended, career mode mission shows flaps limit warning and decreases points. Same applies for flaps 20+, where warning is showed even there is speed 80kt
  • aircraft is extremly shaking during takeoff (very unpleasant for looking on it) and most of time even during straight level flight
  • career mode penalising for very low taxi speeds around 12kts
  • aircraft is always steering to right on taxi (in real life, C172SP mostly not steer and if, it’s very very very low to the left due engine rotation, definitely not to right)
  • each flight when I click START and game put me to airplane, flaps are automatically extended to FULL. It’s happening each time.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue: Cessna 172 Skyhawk

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? YES, no addons installed

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Every time

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Because the most bugs are in career mode, just start any mission with Cessna 172SP
  2. for flaps, try to descend on 95 kt and extend to flaps 10, try to descend at 80kt and extend flaps full from 10. you will get flaps limit warning.
  3. Try to taxi on ground, steering is always to right
  4. Try to taxi with speed around 12-15kt and you will get penalized for speed (which is very low speed and normal for taxi with Cessna 172)
  5. Try to take off and aicraft is extremly shaking

What peripherals are you using, if relevant: Thrustmaster TCA airbus edition with one TCA Quadrant

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it? No

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12? DX12

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use? Nvidia RTX 4080

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share? Intel i7-14700k, 64GB RAM

Moved to User Support Hub Aircraft & Systems that is more appropriate for community support.

This happens too, if you start a mission do the procedures up to start the engine. If you then set the Flaps to 10 you get the penalty while still standing at the parking slot without any moving.

Curious why this was moved to user support because everything listed is a bug.

EDIT: DementedCorn explained down below and it makes sense!

This aircraft is a real mess.

For me non garmin units don’t work.

Voltmeter/clock/temp gauge doesn’t display.

One click of flaps does two movements.

Lights don’t work.

It is indicative of MSFS 2024 as a whole (other than the new atmospheric lighting), a total mess and massive regression on 2020.

Moved to User Support Hub because:

  • some of those issues may already have been reported in the Bug Reporting Hub
  • when creating a bug report, it is asked to report only 1 bug per topic

Ahh ty for explaining. Helps me not make the same mistake in the future!

YES. I suffer from everything you say here, and specially the most annoying thing is the HEAVY steering to either right or left even when having brand new recently repaired landing gear. That steering almost made me crash in A LOT of flights, particularly at landing. It’s incredibly annoying. Crazy thing is there are a few times were I don’t experience this issue, or at least it’s not that bad. Most of the times I can almost do a roundabout with my hands off the Hotas.
