Brief description of the issue: Flying to KSLC from KDEN today, 1) windshield developed considerable icing on the windshield with no apparent way to de-ice and 2) before getting to EKR the position of the aircraft “froze”. Even though the instruments were still usable, so that a change in altitude, heading, etc. could be made, the position of the aircraft as shown on the map did not change.
Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered: NA
Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered: Fly IFR from KDEN to KSLC with Live Weather on Nov. 12, 2021 at about 11-12:15 PM.
PC specs and/or peripheral set up of relevant: Ryzen 5600X, 32GB RAM, Asus 750 TI 2GB
Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue: All updates applied as of Nov 12.
Much later, aircraft position DID change (past EKR), so this may have been just losing the Internet for awhile. Is that a possibility?
De-icing would seem to be a major need for this particular aircraft, as the C208 is known for its good winter flying capabilities. Is there a mod available to supply de-icing or is it in the works for the Asobo C208?

Just for future reference, the pitot heat and deice switches are the green toggle switches just to the left of the pilot’s PFD and marked as “fluid control”. The “Primary” switch moves to a middle or upper position for normal/high fluid flow, and the “max flow” switch puts most of the fluid on either the airframe or windshield (by the way, unless they’ve fixed it, which I haven’t checked), this switch has always been backwards, i.e. when on “windshield” it actually sends max to airframe, and vice versa. The backup switch doesn’t work.
The only thing I can think of for the “freeze” on the map, is whether you might have inadvertently hit the active pause. ???

Ah, now I see. I was looking for something more obvious, like “De-ice.” You may be right about the “freeze”, maybe I inadvertently set it on active pause. I can’t rule it out as a possibility. The ice was so bad I started losing speed and, of course, altitude as a result. I tried an emergency landing but it didn’t work too well. Good thing it was a simulation! Thanks for your help!
While on the subject of those switches I should point out that the windshield/max mode switch should actually be a on-off-on type with both the on positions being momentary. It’s currently completely wrong.
@SolvedJungle938
I just did another test on a completely unmodded 208 and it worked fine for me.
Make sure you have the “max flow” switch set to airframe or windshield (keep in mind they’re unfortunately reversed in the sim), and the fluid pump control switch (just to the left of the flow switch) set to the middle or the max position so it’s actually pumping fluid.
Hope that works for you.
