Calm Winds and Clear Skys Over Pacific

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: While flying long-haul routes over the Pacific Ocean using the INI A350, I have encountered repeated weather data blackouts. These blackouts result in calm winds, clear skies, and incorrect atmospheric conditions, which significantly impact aircraft performance. The issue consistently occurs mid-ocean but resolves when approaching mainland coasts, where live weather resumes with accurate wind and atmospheric data.

A critical side effect of this issue was observed when my aircraft entered Alpha Floor mode during nighttime cruise. This was likely triggered by sudden or inaccurate atmospheric transitions due to the lack of live wind data.

Provide specific location or coordinates:
Multiple points across the pacific, Gyazo links provided rough estimates of locations.
East bound

Eastbound where the aircraft goes off course

Provide time and date of the observed weather issue:
Live weather and on the wind readout on the aircraft you can see the calm winds

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
No, This is default weather no 3rd party Weather addons

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

3 for 3 on pacific crossings

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  • Fly a long-haul route over the Pacific (e.g., KLAX-NZAA, NZAA-KLAX, KLAX-YBBN) using live weather.

  • Observe the transition into a weather data blackout zone, where conditions default to clear skies and calm winds.

  • Monitor aircraft behavior—noticeable effects include inaccurate wind readouts and potential autoflight anomalies.

  • As the aircraft approaches landmasses (e.g., New Zealand, Australia, or the US), live weather resumes.

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

This bug report is partially blocked by the use of a Third-Party aircraft. It would be helpful to get other sample reports using stock aircraft since Bug Reports is intended for stock sim configuration/SimObjects only.

I understand the importance of testing with default aircraft and a clean Community folder. To troubleshoot, I will load up the default A330 and attempt to replicate the issue.

Attached are two additional screenshots showing how live weather is malfunctioning, causing unrealistically high temperature readings. These extreme temperatures are negatively impacting aircraft performance, making it difficult to maintain altitude.

This issue appears to be related to incorrect live weather data injection, as the temperatures at high altitudes are far beyond realistic values. If needed, I can provide further details or additional screenshots to assist in diagnosing the problem.

Let me know if anyone else is experiencing this or if there are any known workarounds.

This just happened but this window popped up during flight and after this window popped up the live weather started to work as normal and accurate again. https://gyazo.com/18a6956a2dcce7f151265c3a371bf603
