Camera automatically recenters when disabling freelook mode (middle mouse button) SU7

For some reason the camera automatically recenters when disabling freelook mode when zoomed in. This wasnt the case before SU7. Its not really a bug but very annoying when trying to put something into MCDU for example. An option to disable this would be appreciated.
