Camera stuck inside floor on every aircraft on spawn. Cannot move

:white_check_mark: ISSUE DESCRIPTION

  1. Description of the issue:

When Spawning into ANY aircraft in either free flight or career, the camera starts inside the floor or roof of the aircraft and I am unable to move - only look with mouse. I cannot reset the camera using camera toolbar menu or go to any preset cameras using keybinds. I cannot enter the aircraft using ‘Shift+C’ keybind. It appears as if I am stuck in the walk around mode?

In case it is relevent to the issue, I’m currently unable to create an avatar and only have the red “Error” model showing. Attempting to edit appearence crashes my game.

:white_check_mark: FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you? (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)

Every aircraft, on every flight.

You probably did not customize your character at the first launch of FS2024, did you?

I’m having the same problem, cannot open the doors, cannot launch cold and dark, no flight school.

The only thing that works is spawning on a runway or in the air.

Trying to customize the character later results in an CTD.

Yea, the character creation was just blank when I got to it yesterday so I just clicked continue. I just get the red ERROR model now and just like you, I also get CTD when trying to customize. I’ve also tried the fix in the thread you linked with no luck.

Suddenly it worked for me - having tried all the tips I could find, and finally re-installed FS2024 four hours prior (for the third time now).

Edit:
2024 of course instead of 2020.

You say you reinstalled 2020? did you mean 2024?
Ive tried that with no success but will try again, did you do anyting else different?

2024 of course, sorry.

Nope - I didn’t do anything. Re-installed, got a little frustrated, and four hours later it worked.
I saw a miracle. :wink:

After multiple reinstalls I fixed it by going to add or remove programs and selecting Repair and Reset options.

It now worked. I’m assuming its down to the streaming of the data just not getting through when loading the sim and then it finally did.

I had this very issue on Day 1 - My identity was a Red Error Man. Red Error Men do not get to move around. You need to go to Main Menu, then hit your username in the bar on the top right, and then customise your identity, which for me from Day 2 allowed to create an identity that was not Red Error Man.

I cant even do customize character to fix this since lb and rb dont work :frowning:

I too have this on every flight no matter the aircraft. I have the red error man and I’m unable to customise my avatar as I get a CTD when selecting a face.

This does not happen when starting from the runway.
