Can anyone recommend me some good (payware) GA airports?

What I mean is: I don’t need international airports for airliners, and I also don’t really need small bush strips. Right in between!

As an example, I have Talkeetna, Alaska by Northern Sky Studios and it is perfect for what I need. But now I want it on other parts of the world!

For good, small GAairfields in England, you can’t go wrong with Burning Blue. They’ve done quite a few now, albeit mostly in the south-east of the country but they do a nice little VOR addon for the UK too. I believe they still do a 20% discount if you spend more than £25 on an order.

For New Zealand, try NZA, real high quality stuff with some including scenery.

Any specific region? For my taste, KCMR from Burning Blue is awesome. Very atmospheric.

Thanks those are great tips. I will check out Burning blue! For NZ, I just can’t live with the fake snow MSFS generates in live weather. And I really always use live weather. Around Milford Sound it’s the worst. Really hope this gets fixed someday.

Thanks. Burning Blue was also recommended from the other guy so I’ll check KCMR out for sure. I don’t have a specific region, although I live in W-Europe and I generally don’t fly there. I like to explore places I won’t go to IRL.

Yup, have to turn off live weather in the European Alps too.
If you’re interested in UK, there’s also Pilotplus, very nicely done airfields in England and Swansea in Wales.

Oh, this one is awesome! And it’s freeware, too! From the payware stuff, I really like KMYL from ORBX.

I’d suggest to give EHTE ( available on flightsim.to ) a try.
It’s extremely detailed and accurate.
Even better: it’s freeware.

There’s a plethora of amazing freeware airports but since you’re only equating good quality with payware, I’d recommend the following smaller fields:

France VFR regional packs (Northwest, Southwest, Southeast, etc) France VFR - Orbx

Orbx’ Washington State airports like: Orcas Island, Anacortes (recently released), Harvey Field, Fall City, etc.

FlyLogic’s airports for Switzerland

Anything by Northern Sky Studio. Includes some regional / limited airline service fields as well.

I’m sorry for only requesting payware airports, I didn’t mean to say that freeware airports can’t have quality. It’s just that I have some money to spend and I’d like to buy airports with it. I will take any freeware recommendation of course.

I’m a fan of the Orbx payware options around LA/Ventura in California like Santa Paula and Van Nuys. For a freeware option I very strongly recommend Placerville by Vincent Bazillo (and his other ones!)

Orbx will be your friend in the GA airport department. If you don’t have much of their stuff now, that will keep you busy.
