Can Asobo do a default DO328 jet and turboprop versions?

The DO328 would make a very good default airliner it has a jet version and a turboprop version and with aircraft getting more study level and higher quality this one would be a lot of fun in both configurations

Why from Asobo? I would go for iniBuilds or Asobo in collaboration with Hans Hartmann these days.

It could be something like the Expert Series ATR and also include the DO328eco which is going to be build by Deutsche Aircraft - developing this one would be more easy as it will feature Garmin avionics (G3000 or 7000) for single pilot operations.

Also they plan to use the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127XT which are also used on the ATR 72/42-600 but in a slightly adjusted variant (127XT-S).

I’d love a good collab default one because we lack smaller airliners for 1-2 hour flights

Let some 3rd party dev do a proper job, not another half baked “expert” series plane.

Well, still better that way than no way at all (looking at the Synaptic/iniBuilds A220 with their “roadmap”).

Personally, for the price asked for, I think the ATR is pretty much enjoyable for A to B flying - tastes will however differ and that’s fine.

Might be, but there are a couple of problems:

  1. The expert series ATR was supposed to be “expert” and for “serious flight simmers” which (knowing the ATR in and out) it is not.
  2. For the price it may be okish, but the price range was never known before release, and it does not change the fact that it is not as advertised as it is not expert in any way.
  3. There was a proper ATR in the making by a 3rd party developer which got shelved because they were not able to compete.

End result is that we will likely never see a proper ATR for MSFS. The ATR does not look or feel like an ATR, most systems and logics are poor, the model is wrong, the flight model has nothing to do with an ATR and the sounds are from a Kingair.

These things should be left for 3rd party developers.

To me, career mode is kind of pointless because I did most of the aircraft, unless they do an default airliner package, I don’t see a draw to return to career mode unless either new default airliners come or there’s like a dlc update for fs2024 career mode
