Can someone please explain what an EFB is?

Hi there, Would someone please explain what an EFB is? Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA

EFB stands for Electronic Flight Bag and is basically a Tablet-Like device (i.e. some Ipad-Software) helping pilots have everything at hand, they would carry with them in their Lether Case in “the old days”, like flightplan-paperwork, charts or any tools for calculations during flight.

The books are still on board but it’s much handier and faster to use the efb
