this morning I had no problems with the cessna gran caravan, but this evening all airliners a320 etc. have bugged atc, sometimes azure goes offline, and sometimes atc does not speak, only text, or i do not speak and i have only text.
I found another post that recommended deleting all 40th anniversary aircraft. I tested again and this helped so far……pay attention to that.
Every flight today I lost ATC. It’s one-way communication. Very infuriating after a long preflight preparation. Restarting the computer and FS seems to make no difference. I start out with ATC and lose it on the way to my runway.
That’s because it’s a server problem. And why it’s unconnected to updates or individual aircraft.
I experienced this today. I hope your right and it’s a server issue. I fly the asobo a320 for clarity.
Has MS/Asobo acknowledged this? Did the issues start today? Thanks
The only time I get this problem is when I use AI to handle the radio or try using the com2 radio. It usually starts to happen during decent. Even if I use them only for short time and turn it back off.
See below.
Options/General Options/Traffic/
Switched from Real-Time Online to AI Offline
ATC voice came back
Switched back to Real-Time Online
ATC voice still works
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

Yes, on Xbox and with all aircraft. I was so pleased with SU11, and now this happens.

MODERATOR EDIT:
This post was merged into the topic.
Many people complaining about this in the forum and hasn’t been logged as a “known issue” yet
For some reason, it all seems to be working now. Western Europe server.
Probably because Asobo doesn’t consider an intermittent server problem an “issue”. If there is nothing they can do to change the behavior, if it’s out of their hands, then what can they do?
If it is server related, and that’s where my money lies, there are other issues that might also be caused by the same or similar issues. Namely the “memory cannot be read” and the graphics card overloaded CTDs.
I think that both of those are currently being investigated, so if a fix has been found then maybe it could solve more than just one issue?
I might be guilty of being overly optimistic, but I guess, we’ll need to wait and see, either way.
Same issue - Longitude. 3 flights, audio ATC dropped out mid-flight. Text box shows communication, pilot voice ok. Flights KMSO - KJAC, and return. KEYW - KMLB. ATC woks for some minutes - then I see / hear a slight “tick” pause on system (internet likely) and then audio ATC is gone. Have not tried the AI-Offline & back trick - will test. I did not previously experience this issue before 1.29.28.0 update.
…days later… still same issue - regardless of departure / destination. KORF - KMSO - ATC ok until last 30 minutes of flight - then disappears - no audio - just text…
Came here to REPORT THE SAME ISSUE - Two flights in a row, one yesterday, one today; starts out hearing ATC and other aircraft; half way into the flight or on descent, it glitches and I can’t hear anything other than myself broadcast out. Please fix!
Located in Michigan; XBOX Series x
Might be worth adding your location as azure has many worldwide locations.
Today was ok for me UK. Yesterday was not only a failure of atc but also stuttering.
Complete loss of ATC communications about an hour before landing on a 5 hour flight. Will this ever be fixed???
Every update the sound for ATC is always changed to some lower setting. I have to use trial/error to remember what I did to fix it
I have a new… interesting… observation here.
Yes, an AI plane taking off without permission, resulting in an ATC termination.
Here’s my hypothesis now:
after SU11, for possible reasons such as reducing PC workload and/or reducing “landing aircraft circling around and denying runway”, AI traffic are trimmed. only those closest to you should be shown. However this causes problem such as traffic in the distance popping in/out of existance, as well as AI traffic popping out of nowhere and/or planes should be there isn’t (or opposite).
This Mandarin 991 probably popped into existance on the take off roll, without asking for takeoff permission.
And when an aircraft on approach pops in and out of existance, this causes ATC to repeat approach instructions to them.
