I can’t see other players or their nameplates even though they are turned on, am I missing something?

Hello @OldB52HGunner,
Can you confirm that you have “All Players” selected from the “Flight Conditions” screen before starting a flight?
Thanks,
MSFS Team
I have it set as shown in your picture.
Are you on PC or Xbox?
Thanks,
MSFS Team
I think it is different in 2024 version, it now generally shows the aircraft registration number rather than the xbox user name, but sometimes it will expand and show more info depending on if you are looking at it and how far away it is or some other mysterious factor. The expanded view shows the user’s departing airport, speed and altitude. I have only a few times seen xbox user names shown on other players. I do also have all players selected as shown.
Edit: I’m on PC, Steam.
To be clear, I do see other players aircraft when they are close enough. But the nameplates now show mostly aircraft registration not xbox user name except in a few cases. I have no idea what those cases are but am sure I am seeing most multi player users where the nameplate has the aircraft registration number not the user name.
Pc, game pass.
Same here, I am the only one flying on the planet. Settings are as shown on the printscreen above, and Windows firewall is set to allow the sim to pass through (even turned off the firewall to no avail). In FS2020 other users and their nameplates show as they should. In both sims, server is set to EAST USA.
It appears you no longer have a big range to see other players. If im at an airport thats fine, as soon as im in the air then the range is so small i cant see people.
See also that wish:
Agreed.
I can’t see where my friends are on the 2024 map.
I feel like I am all alone and lonely.
Check graphics settings - the one at the bottom is the most important. When it was “low-end” then I couldn’t see other users.
I was also alone on the planet until I set my graphics quality from “low-end” up to “medium”. Now I can see other users on the same server at least, but my refresh rate has dropped to where I can see the stuttering when panning a view quickly or flying low in dense terrain. Reducing the Render Scaling to 45 helped a bit.
Also the range at which other users are displayed has dropped considerably from FS2020. Looking around a busy airport, sometimes planes would pop in and out on the display depending on distance.
I have the same problem unable to use my original account for multiplayer that I used on FS2020 and had since the Xbox 360, when doing so no multi player shows up yet they can normaly see me fine. I do manage to see the odd person but this is rare.
I have a newer account that I set up a few months ago but never played flight simulator on it and that account works fine and works as expected. I opened a support ticket but it just got clsoed straight away with some automated reply about fs2024 having loads of problems etc. So unable to play multiplayer unless I use my new account.
