Can they make the fsx aircraft compatible with the new sim?

I would love an easier way to make the old fsx aircraft actually compatible with the new sim id be ok if they is recognized the virtual cockpit

Do you really want that?

It might not be as simple as you think.

Especially since the visual modelling was generally not up to MSFS 2020’s current standards, it would require a complete re-write of the aerodynamic configuration and a code translation for any custom cockpit instruments, as well as custom code for the flight model and external visual model.

I made this before the PMDG 737 and aerosoft CRJ was out at the time

Do we really want this? Hell yeah.
FSX had a long life… and a lot of people spent a lot of money on a lot of aircraft over that time - not to mention the sheer volume of freeware that FSX had that just never materialised for 20 or 24.

It might not be as good as native MS20 or MS24 models.. but for a lot of those aircraft, it may be the best we’ll ever see.

FSX was much much easier to mod, you could create a fully working aircraft in a few weeks, airports, easy peasy. Unfortunately, now you need a masters in computer science just to change parking codes. Progress I suppose, but at a great cost…

I made this back when there was no add ons in fs2020 because I pre ordered fs2020 back in the fs220 days, the aircraft now are getting so crazy it’s better to stick with the new sims than rely on the old sims
