Can two joysticks work at the same time?

You can make the logitech pro flight and a trustmaster joystick work at the same time, I would like to have both connected so if it is necessary to only use the Trustmaster axes.

jepp

I haven’t turned everything on at the moment, but at this moment all of these axes work together without any problems.

I have an X56 and an old wingman, and they both work at the same time…

How many hands do you need to operate all those ?

all of them :joy:

Thanks for that info which answers a similar question for me. I have a yoke system with associated throttle/etc levers, rudder pedals and also a T-Flight Hotas 4. I fly different aircraft at different times, some preferring the yoke/rudder others the joystick and sometimes it would be nice to use different elements of each.
When I can make enough room on my computer desk (unfortunately I can’t designate it for simming only!!!) I use a powered USB switch so I can turn different things on or off but it’s good to know I could leave them all on.

Yes, multiple joysticks or throttles can all be connected at the same time - with some caveats.

Obviously if you bind the same function (Elevator for example) to two different axes on two different devices then you may experience some input conflict, especially if one of those axes jitters a little and the sim registers it’s axis input.

It’s going to depend on how you want to use the devices. 2 joysticks is quite common in space Sims (HOSAS) but their axes are not duplicated, rather they are mapped to different functions.

If you want a yoke connected for one type of aircraft at the same time as a joystick is connected for another type of aircraft then indeed you will have duplicate axes which may conflict.

A workaround for this would be to create empty profiles with no mapping at all which you then make active on one while using the other.

An alternative would be to set something like that up in Joystick Gremlin - it will achieve the same thing but switching between profiles might be easier and the sim will only ever see one virtual device anyway.

That’s wisdom right there. Had this problem with Rudder on the Citation Longitude while both my Logitech pedals and my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro were plugged in.

And that’s exactly how I solved it.

Just my $.02 on the subject.
