Since the first installation of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on PC, I encountered a major bug:
The simulator always keeps me in the same aircraft and at the same airport position. When I try to change the aircraft from the world map, it does not update. When I try to change the starting location or gate/parking/stand at any airport, it does not update either. This problem happens everywhere, with all airports and all aircraft - not just a specific location or plane. I already tried reinstalling the simulator, resetting the Xbox app, and starting flights from different airports. It only worked once after a reinstall, but as soon as I changed aircraft/location, the bug returned permanently.
Platform: PC
Version: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (updated to the latest version).
Expected result: The simulator should load the selected aircraft and the selected airport position.

I’m wondering if maybe one of the system options, specifically the UTF-8 beta, could help because I remember that there used to be a problem where no matter what you selected in MSFS, after a restart you always got the same airport and airplane.
Try.
1 Exit MSFS.
2 Go to
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\MISSIONS\Custom
5 Make sure to enable the Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support option.
Go to Windows settings > time & language > language & region > administrative language settings. Click > change system locale and check Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support.
