Cannot click with mouse

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
This issue has only seemed to have occurred tonight. I have been able to use my mouse although the camera hast been great but the mouse still functioned. Tonight I tried to log on and I tried to press start on the start button for the sim. The mouse hovered over the button but when i presses the left click it did nothing as well as the right click. I got in by pressing space bar on the key bored but i had the same issue when i got in when the mouse wouldn’t click on any menus. Shortly after the cursor dissipeared and i could not get the mouse back at all. I have repeatedly restarted the sim and restarted the xbox and nothing has worked. This issue has only happend this evening, It was working fine this morning

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? On Xbox

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? This issue happens every time I load into the sim

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Load into the sim with a wireless mouse and keybored connected on Xbox
  2. try and use the mouse to start the sim by using left click

What peripherals are currently plugged in? Please name all of them as there could be a potential conflict. Wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, Thrustmaster hotas one and thrustmaster TFRP rudder peadles that go with the hotas one

Update:
I’ve uninstalled the game and i’m reinstalling it now i’m going to see if that fixes anything.

I re loaded the sim twice after reinstaling the game and both times i could not use the ouse to go through menus or click on start game, Is anyone else having this issue?

I have solved my issue. O changed my mouse preset config under general controls. When the config is on mouse 2024 transversal the left click works

Thanks this was driving me crazy - your solution worked or at least I re clicked in those options and saved and it next boot the mouse was working again - this needs to be flagged for people struggling with this issue not hidden away as many others will benefit from it. You post was moved it should be pinned! Thanks again

I am having the same issue but with FS 2020. My mouse moves and I see a cursor, but the left click does not work. It appears at the mouse is not at all being detected by the simulator as it does NOT appear in the control input area. I have tried different ports, switching apps, hard power offs, and noting is helping! With 2024 being still broken on Xbox and now I am unable to use 2020 this is almost the last straw for me. If anyone has any solutions they would be much appreciated.

I have same pb on FS 2024. I’ve tried to change condif as described in this post by the issue remains (on the SIM update Beta of January) on XBox.

I have also oter issues on Xbox.
FS 2024 has been bought on my son profile.
On the Xbox there is a profile for my son, my daughter and me.

My profile on current version : I can enter in menus, carreer mode… but impossible to launch any mission, mouse click… stop working at this step.
My profile SIM update beta version : no controller or mouse is handled, impossible to enter in the main menu.

My son profile on current version : I can enter in menus, carreer mode… but mouse click stop working just before launchin mission, we use keyboard but to launch mission but Joystick (thrust master hotas), controller… does not work.

My son profile on SIM update beta version : mouse does not work but, controller, keybord, joystick are ok and we can play

My daugter profile on current version : mouse does not work but, controller, keybord, joystick are ok and we can play

Now my mouse is broken in the EXACT same way in the 2024 SU 1 beta. Able to move the mouse, does NOT respond to any clicking.

I’m having this same issue. My mouse was working fine until yesterday. I can only move it on the main menu, then when I go to free flight and marketplace page it disappears and it can’t click on anything! So annoying.

Same here. Since today mouse cursor is visible in initial menu but left click does nothing. In configuration menu search by input does not react to any mouse click. SU1 beta.

If you also have a keyboard, disconnect them both and then reconnect just the mouse and see if it works then.

I always have to connect the mouse first to get it to work. Then I can connect the keyboard. Sometimes I have to do this several times to get them to both work.

Yes, thanks, I already tried it and it fixed the issue. Not sure if it is sim or XBOX problem. I read about this trick some time ago but never experienced the issue myself.
