Cannot configure reverse thrust for any controller in MSFS 2024 for any aircraft

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: Clarification: I want to use my TCA Boeing Quadrant to handle reverse thrust on jets and prop aircraft. I can only calibrate to work on the Airbus A320 and the Cessna Longitude, but not for any other aircraft. I tried setting Reverse thrust controller settings on keyboard, and on one button on the VelocityOne FlightStick, but no setting works on any other aircraft. Reverse thrust for all aircraft works perfectly on MSFS 2020 on the TCA Quadrant out of the box.

On the flight stick when you move the throttle (I use the left slider) all the way down there is a button click. I assign “toggle thrust reverse” to that button click and when activated I can now advance the throttle to regulate how much reverse I want. Have you tried that?

Same process on FlightStick for me. Same settings I used in 2020. Works perfectly.

Also the thread title is an exaggeration when you only mention two controllers. Probably better to use the forum to ask for help as a first step before adding to the deluge of “Operator error” non-bugs that are drowning the real bugs out.

I expect others have the TCA Quadrant working as well. If not there would probably be a bug already. Did you try a search?

I have Throttle Cut assigned for some airliners. Throttle back to Flight Idle. One tap on Throttle Cut takes it to Reverse Idle. Another tap takes it to full reverse. Tap the throttle forward to return to Flight Idle. Might help.

This is how I have it setup on the Turtle Beach Velocity One.

Locate the assignment functions for Throttle X Decrease and Throttle X Cut – the X will be equal to the engine number on the aircraft.

Set your throttle levers to the 0 position – just above the final click/detent position.

When you find Throttle X Cut, click inside the assignment box to reveal the assignment editor.

Then, click the START SCANNING box, and when prompted, move the throttle lever into the detent zone and then back to 0 again. A button number will appear. Set the Action Type to ON RELEASE, and then click VALIDATE.

The game is missing a -100% to +100% throttle axis, that would of worked really well with the detents on my vkb throttle.

This video helped me a lot with B737 reverse. I use Logitech 940. I did not have any problems with IniBuilds A320 as they have their EFB to help configuring throttles, but B737 was puzzling me. The only thing I’ve done differently for my G940 - I did not check “Set control on release” as I used just a button.
